Starr.   Printed in 1908, this book may be the FIRST American book about dolls for doll collectors Illustrated in color with many half-tones from photographs. Includes historic dolls, puppets, marionettes, fashion dolls, Asian dolls, supernatural dolls, collections, dolls of the Nativity, fetish dolls, manufacturing, curiosities, customs and tales, North American Indian dolls, home-made dolls and the educational value of dolls. Original yellow cloth with color paste-down showing a Spanish doll on the front. spine is faded, foxing.

Very good addition to any collections!!!
