WOODEN WONDERS
BEESWAX BUTCHER BLOCK CONDITIONER

Food safe wood polish/conditioner for all your wooden kitchen utensils,
dining tables, wooden toys and cutting boards.
Also works well on soapstone counters and so much more!
Made with high quality Pure Natural Beeswax & Food Grade Mineral Oil
8 oz tin
(This has a higher beeswax content than many similar products - It is not runny!)

Directions for use on Wood:

  • Simply rub a coat of Beeswax Butcher Block Conditioner onto wooden surfaces.
  • Allow conditioner to penetrate.
  • Then buff surface with a soft cloth for a clean shine.
  • Use fine sandpaper (in place of a soft cloth) after applying a thin coat of conditioner for a smooth furniture like polish to remove surface scratches and condition at the same time. When I use the wax professionally I actually buff the board with fine sandpaper after applying a thin coat of Beeswax/Mineral Oil Conditioner to the board to produce a furniture like polished surface.
  • This food safe conditioner will help keep wood from drying out, warping & cracking.
  • This product will not go rancid with time like vegetable or many natural oils.
  • When mineral oil is used alone, after it soaks into a board, the end result is a dull finish. By contrast, this blend of beeswax and mineral oil will give the board a glossy glow and a more durable finish than mineral oil.  Water beads up on the surface of your board.
  • Just a little wax goes a long way.
  • Reapply 2-3 times per month for maximum protection.

Practical Everyday Applications:

  • Cutting Boards:  Wooden cutting boards (bamboo, hardwood, etc.)
  • Countertops: Butcher block, Soapstone & Concrete.
  • Furniture & Kitchen Cabinet Polish
  • Other Wooden Kitchen Surfaces, Wooden spoons, salad bowls, rolling pins, knife handles.
  • Painted Wooden Surfaces
  • Condition Smooth Leather and Vinyl Surfaces: (dashboards, seat covers, shoe polish)
  • Wooden Toys:  Food safe conditioner for children’s toys.
  • Metal Surfaces: Zippers, screws, table saws surfaces, to lubricate & help prevent rust
  • Cosmetic Applications:  Examples: hand cream and foot cream, makeup remover, lip balm.

Since mineral oil & beeswax are often found in expensive cosmetic products this product is an

economical alternative to much of what you find in your cosmetic departments with pleasant

natural beeswax aroma.  (Have you priced Burt’s Bees products lately?)

Customer Corner/Ideas:

Hi! I am glad you had this great product listed and I was able to buy it! You may or may not

be aware that another use for this product is the preservation of stag handles on knives. I

have had a hard time finding it until I found your listing. Thank you for a great product!   -- Tom H.

Another customer wrote:  I used to use a variety of liquid butcher block oils (which contain

mostly mineral oil) on my wooden cutting boards, bowls and table. When I'd use the liquid

products they would run all over the place and make a big mess.  One I used even claimed

to have beeswax in it that would sink to the bottom of the bottle and required shaking.

Because all these liquid formulas were so runny an 8-16 oz bottle would not last very long.

Your product is not runny at all.  When I am done buffing my cutting board my hands feel

so soft and smell so good. THANK YOU !

My order came today - I'm impressed. Most of the other beeswax products I have looked

at are real creamy - not really a paste - so more mineral oil. Yours seems firm and more

of a wax, and that is EXACTLY what I wanted.   Can't wait to see how it looks on my

butcher block table!

I have been doing some research and see that many people are spending a ton of money

products that claim to be all natural when all natural does not necessarily mean safe...

many people have allergic reactions to nut oils or other natural oils but I have never heard

of anybody being allergic to mineral oil.  So side by side all around I would recommend

this product over those claiming their product is "all natural."  You want something that

over time will hold up and protect the surface, especially during those times of year when

your furnace is running and wood dries out.   When a cutting board is left unprotected

during the winter time it will dehydrate so when it's exposed to water, it acts like an

over dry sponge and swells quickly increasing the chances of your board falling apart,

warping or cracking. I have a friend that makes boards like yours professionally and the

only time he gets service calls is March because people forget to condition their wooden treasures!

Thanks again for your FAST shipment!

I received my order quickly and it is great! I can't thank you enough and will order more

in the future if I get more wood projects.  Thank you again and it is great dealing with you.

I used this product in place of olive oil to season my cast iron pans last night…I just rubbed

a TINY bit on with paper towel then turned on my burner for a minute to melt the wax.

This morning’s breakfast did not stick to the bottom of the pan!

THANKS!  Mary

I will certainly tell all my friends about your product! I do plan to use this on more than my

cutting board and spinning wheel. Your conditioner can be used on more than just naked wood.

It can be used on some chrome-tanned leather, oil-rubbed bronze and brass, and the bottom

of copper cooking pots as well! I imagine it could also be used to clean and re-shine those

elaborately carved display candles too. There are a lot of folks whom I can show how versatile

beeswax is, especially when it has been softened and emulsified by mineral oil. (I’m sort of a

trivia queen, and always check ingredients of diverse things to see what else they might be good for!)

In any case, I really am thrilled to find your product, and I will tell everyone!

I just wanted to pass on another great idea a customer just sent to me:  She has been using this

product on her hard plastic surfaces like her computer keyboard, the sides of her TV set, and the

plastic covers on her fish tank.  She said she uses a TINY bit.  The conditioner helps to loosen up

crud that has accumulated on each surface and when applied with a soft cloth does not cause any

abrasions. The wax and mineral oil leave a glossy glow.

Thanks for this great product.  I gave the cosmetic sized bonus container you sent me to my 13

year old daughter who has been using it to remove makeup and as a lip balm.  She said the other

day she got bitten by mosquitoes at her friend's cottage.  She put a little bit of conditioner on

the bug bites and she said they stopped itching.  I look forward to giving it a try the next time

I get bitten up by mosquitoes.

Thanks again!

Here is an idea a customer forwarded to me that might be helpful to those of you applying your

conditioner to larger surfaces such as your soapstone counters or large butcher block counters.

This technique helps to prevent too much wax from being soaked up by a cloth and helps to

promote even coverage ---INSTEAD OF USING A SOFT CLOTH --- USE THE FLAT EDGE OF

A RUBBER SPATULA to apply your wax.   The spatula will help make the wax more plyable and

your wax will last longer because it's not lost in the cloth!

Many thanks to all of you who are writing with wonderful ideas.

Sincerely,

Anne Curtis, Wooden Wonders
