There is a hand-held remote which controls the two separate massage mechanisms for the back (upper, middle and lower) and shoulders. It allows you to adjust your massage to the proper height and width to customize your massage specifically for you! The massage allows for a rolling, shiatsu, or spot massages! There is a pocket on the right side of the seat to allow the remote to be tucked away out of sight. The unit comes complete with a 12' electric cord.
