It Prevents moisture build up and also helps the mattress to breath so you sleep cooler and not sweaty like cheap protection pads will do. I am including the Protection 1st 10 year Warranty certificate with the item.

 We paid $89 for this to protect our Tempur-Pedic Cloud Supreme when we bought it. The delivery guys left 2 of them and would not take one back when we told them we only bought one. Their "goofy" policy is your gain. You can get one of the best mattress protectors for what a general quality pad would cost at Walmart or Target. We love ours and it works without changing the way the mattress feels or sleeps. A must to protect nice mattresses and can help yours to last.
