Details

Bodice Style: V neck halter style top with a deep V back that reaches almost to the waist. There is some boning through the bustline for shape. The dress is fully lined and closes in the back with an invisible zipper.

Skirt Style: The skirt is fitted through the waist and hip then flares to a beautiful bell or trumpet shape. There is an inverted pleat in the back to give the train an attractive drape.  We added one of our semi-full slip underneath to fill out the skirt a bit. (Slip available for $49 and ships free with your gown). Without the extra slip the skirt would drape closer to the body.

Embellishment:

Elegant and simple gown from Cosmobella by Demetrios. Made from a heavy matte satin in a warm ivory with the halter neckline trimmed with two bands of blush satin - a very subtle contrast to the ivory of the gown. The back waist is embellished with a triangle of beaded net which  snaps over the zipper.

*A note on measurements

Our gown measurements are approximate. It is not possible for us to provide a custom fit gown for you. Most wedding gowns will need alterations to fit you well. We recommend that you buy your gown too big rather than too small. It is usually easier to make a gown smaller rather than bigger. Gowns cannot be returned because they do not fit you unless we have made a significant error in our measurements.

Condition:

This gown is a sample from a bridal salon. It is in very good condition. There are some almost unnoticeable marks near the back waist where the fabric has been rubbed or pulled. We tried to get a photo (#10). You have to be very close to even see them. If they bother you though, you may want to get a few crystals and beads to match the ones on the gown and stitch a few over the area. There are hooks that hold the halter closed at the back neck but someone added a couple of large clear snaps that don't seem to fasten to anything. I ways going to take them off, but will leave them in case you want them for something. I will include a few smaller clear snaps for you in case the halter straps are too long and you want to overlap them in the back for a better fit. The gown is very clean but some brides prefer to dry clean sample gowns. 

 Each one of my gowns comes with a plastic hanger and cleaners type plastic bag.

As with most formal and bridal fashions, our gowns and accessories are not returnable.

About our Gowns

Most of our gowns are either vintage or samples:

• A vintage gown can be anywhere from 10 to 100 years old. Often they have minor imperfections. Slight discoloration of the fabric, beading and trim is very common. Vintage gowns can be more fragile that new gowns because the fabric and thread have aged. Most brides prefer to have these dry cleaned before their wedding.
• A sample means that the gown is new but has likely been tried on and/or displayed. Some are brand new with tags. Even the brand new ones may need a bit of TLC to fix loose beads, re-sew a hook or loop, or take out a spot here and there. Most brides prefer to have these dry cleaned before their wedding.
• And, of course the gown will need to be ironed or steamed after shipping.

Many of you want to know the history of the gowns that you purchase from us. Normally we buy gowns in bulk lots and do not know their individual histories, but we are always happy to share any information we do have. And… advice is always FREE! We love to help you with gown selection, styles, fabrics and anything else you may want to ask.

Payments

We require payment for your auction item(s) within 24 hours from the end of the auction. Please let us know if you are having payment problems. If we do not receive your payment or communication within 24 hours, we will re-list your item, add you to our blocked bidder list and report the matter to ebay.

Shipping

We normally ship on Friday. Your item(s) are sent the next shipping day after we receive your payment. Our standard shipping is via Parcel post. We do not charge a handling fee. If you want fast shipping, please ask and we will give you the price. International packages are sent via international priority mail. International customers are responsible for paying any taxes, duties or other fees that may be charged once the item reaches their country.
