Sir William Blackstone (10 July 1723 – 14 February 1780) was an English judge, jurist and professor. This classic historical and analytical treatise on the common law entitled, Commentaries on the Laws of England, was originally published in four volumes over 1765 – 1769. It still remains an important source on classical views of the common law and its principles.  The edition offered here was published in 1893 and contains a total of 1,611 pages of material.
