 ITEM SPECIFICS:

 ·      Description – I purchased this fishing creel in 1951 at a tackle shop in Cody Wyoming in order to go wading in the Clarks Fork.  Wading was not for me, so when that trip was over I stored this creel in a box.  I recently opened that lost box in the attic and found this treasure.  This creel is in almost new condition having only been used that one time.  It is time for someone else to use and enjoy this creel for fishing or as a real collector’s item.

The U.S. had no relations with China in 1951, so this is not one of those cheap knock off “Made in Hong Kong China” creels.  I was lead to believe it was made in Wyoming by Native Americans.  It is of split willow construction.  The weaving is tight with no holes or gaps or broken spots.  Its leather hinges are in very good shape as is the leather strap forming the closure mechanism fitted with a silver trout.  Even the locking clasp is perfectly functional.  The harness strap leather is in very good condition. There is a minor red stain in the canvas part of the harness  See last photo..

·       Defects – The only defects appear to be the red stain mentioned above and, on the closure strap, a small amount of the silver coating on the fish’s head has disappeared with time.

·       Exceptions:  None

As always, I am happy to combine shipping for multiple items purchased.  Please check out our other listings featured in the scroll at the bottom of the page.

 Thanks for looking!!

 ITEM MEASUREMENTS:

 ·         Dimensions: The dimensions are approximately 16.5” in width at its widest point, 9” deep and 8” from front to back and

·         Weight –It weighs approximately 1.5 pounds.

RECEIVING YOUR EBAY INVOICE:

If you are the winning bidder, I will send you an eBay invoice with the total cost, including: packing labor, materials, shipping costs, insurance, and any additional related costs. If the listing ends over the weekend, you will normally receive an invoice on Monday.

 PAYING WITH PAYPAL

PayPal payment is expected and due within three (3) days from the date of your invoice..  Items purchased and delivered within Indiana are taxed at the state sales tax rate of 7%.  If you have an Indiana resale number, you will need to provide a photocopy with your payment, or include the tax due. I am sorry, but there are no exceptions, as this is the law.

I will email when I receive payment and when I ship with the delivery confirmation or tracking number.  I strive to make each and every transaction trouble free and the best it can be.

 FEEDBACK:

I enjoy leaving you great feedback as soon as our transaction is complete to let everyone on eBay know you do business in a responsible way.  I will appreciate it if you do the same.

 CUSTOMERS FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES:

Your payment by PayPal is welcome.  Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges and are the buyer’s responsibility.  Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.  These charges are normally collected by the delivering shipping company or when you pick the item up; do not confuse these charges with stated shipping charges.  I will not mark customs declaration below purchase price or mark items as gifts.  U.S. and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

EVERY ITEM IS GUARANTEED TO BE AS DESCRIBED:

Every item I offer is guaranteed to be in the as described condition.

I sell mostly art, antiques and vintage collectibles, which w/ill usually have the normal wear that you would expect to occur from normal use and age.

You are guaranteed that there are no repairs, alterations, or damage, unless I specifically mention them in my condition report above.

I SELL ONLY GENUINE ORIGINAL ITEMS:

I do my very best to accurately represent each and every item I sell.  I do not sell reproductions of any kind, unless they are clearly described as such.

I welcome input from dealers and collectors in specialized areas, to help insure my listings are complete and accurate.

 SHIPPING INFORMATION:

I will be sending your item from Schererville, IN 46375.

Most items, which can be packed in a box measuring up to 12 x 12 x 9, are normally sent by USPS Parcel Post with full value insurance, and delivery confirmation.

Larger items are usually sent by ground service, e.g., Fed Ex Ground or UPS.

If you want your item shipped by another method, please email me with special instructions.

Please note that all shipping cost estimates are just that...estimates, as the item is not actually packed until it has been sold, and it's destination is known.

Our shipping cost estimates are normally accurate, but, it may cost more to ship your item than is estimated.  If this happens, you will be responsible to pay the additional shipping costs, and we will provide you with proof of the additional shipping costs upon request.

If it is discovered that the shipping costs have over charged, the difference will refunded.

 PACKING AND HANDLING CHARGES:

No handling charges unless stated under “Exceptions.”

if the item is large, i.e., larger than can fit in a 12” x 12” x 9” box and/or more fragile, the more it costs to pack it properly.  If an item is larger and/or more fragile, it is packed to survive the shipping according to the accepted standards required by the shipper.  Should this be the case, then there will be a handling charge of $2.00.

On an expensive fragile item, it may need to be put into a double box. This will require additional labor and material costs.  It is preferable to pack your item properly to make sure that the item arrives intact, rather than to deal with a claim.  The additional handling costs will be identified and presented in the ebay invoice.

I care about the survival during shipping of the items I sell on eBay, and I want them to arrive in the same condition as when sent.

In compliance with eBay guidelines, it will now be required to have a signature confirmation on domestic shipping, and a return receipt with international shipping.  These cost an extra $2.20. Also, insurance is determined and added into the cost listed on the invoice once the purchase is made.

 SHIPPING OF ITEMS:

I usually ship within three days of payment confirmation.

As you know, eBay is making some shipping policy changes which we will be required to follow as they are implemented.

If the item is large or heavy it can be shipped using Fed Ex or UPS.

 SHIPPING COST SAVINGS:

If you plan on bidding on multiple items, your item will be held here until the end of the upcoming auction so all items can be shipped together.

100% of the savings are passed onto you, in the form of reduced shipping costs, which will show on the invoice for the additional item.

 REFUNDS & DAMAGED ITEMS:

Refunds:  If an item is misrepresented, such that it is worth less money due to an omission or error in the listing, you may return it for a full refund including all shipping costs, so you do not lose a dime.  An example of this might be undisclosed existing damage, like a chip or crack.  If the item description is in error, but it has no effect on its monetary value, then there will be no refund.  An example would be if the measurements were slightly off, e.g., if it is stated that a vase is 10 1/2 inches tall, and you discover it is 10 3/8 tall, a refund will not be granted.

Damaged Items:  If your item is damaged in shipping, the shipper is responsible, but we will assist you with the claim process.  Examine the shipping box presented to you by the carrier and if damaged then before you sign the confirmation, open the box in the carrier's presence and check for damages immediately.  It the item is damaged then refuse the shipment and file a claim with the carrier.  If you are not present when the carrier brings the shipping box to your door, then you will need to save the box and packing materials to show the shipper. This is the proof that they require, so if you discard the packing materials, your claim may be denied.  Shippers do not accept parcels packed in damaged boxes as a rule, so damage is normally evidenced by damage to the box.
