About our swings We also offer swings of different sizes from a 2ft. to a 7 ft. call us at 318-765-7208 for a quote and we will list it as a buy it now for you. We measure all of our products outside arm to outside arm and the actual seating area is 4 inches shorter than the listed length. This is a beautiful 5 ft. cypress swing with chains built with quality and pride by us, the Brooks Family, from Louisiana cypress. 100% hand crafted. Full 1 inch thick and 1 3/4 inches wide Cypress lumber, routered (no sharp edges or splinters) and sanded for your safety and comfort. Large, very sturdy, heavy duty frame with 4 support spines. The slats are screwed to the frame (NOT STAPLED) and the frame is bolted together with 5/16 inch bolts, which are twice as big as most of our competitors. The bottom of the swing is beautifully contoured for your sitting pleasure. Our swings come unfinished and may be left unfinished to weather to a beautiful "barn wood" grey, or decorated as you choose with paint, stain, etc. We use galvanized and zinc plated hardware on our standard swings but we do offer stainless steel at an additional cost. Cypress is known as the "eternal wood". It is naturally insect and rot resistant, so you do not have to paint, stain or water seal it if you choose not to. Hardware
About Us We, the Brooks Family--Andy, Dell, Jason & Marlayna, build these swings with our own hands to last for many, many years. We have been building porch swings and outdoor furniture for over 28 years. That is all we do and we do it right. We use galvanized screws, NOT STAPLES, to attach the swing slats to the frame, and the frame is bolted together with 5/16 inch zinc plated bolts. Overall, the back is 21 inches high and the seat is 21 inches deep. Buy with confidence that this is a very high quality product.
