Silverplate Flatware Set PRINT ADvertisement
ITEM DESCRIPTION: Original 1923 Black & White Magazine Advertisement featuring 1847 ROGERS BROS. SILVERPLATE.
The ad beautifully illustrates a salad fork in the pretty ANNIVERSARY pattern.
This antique, early 1900s ad has the caption, "Does Your Silverware Make Entertaining Easier? ... In 1847 Rogers Bros. Silver plate you can add to your present tableware at surprisingly moderate prices and in whatever quantities you desire. Salad forks in the charming Anniversary pattern cost only $7.00 in half-dozen. Other pieces - orange spoons, coffee spoons, butter spreaders and serving pieces - are priced as moderately ..."
1847 ROGERS BROS. SILVERPLATE INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO.
MEASUREMENTS: The AD TEXT Size for this ad is about 4 3/4" wide and about 10 1/4" high, however it is left on the full magazine page measuring about 8 1/2" wide and 11 1/2" high. The entire page is left in tact for ease in framing - the side with the staple holes can be easily cut off or matted and framed over.
CONDITION: This antique Ad is in very good condition. The AD has crisp and clean graphics with no tears, bends, creases, stains, or writing. The paper has slightly yellowed over the years however, there is faint foxing on the edges and there are ink smudges which is a printing issue. The staple holes in the margin can be matted and framed over or easily removed. I leave as much edging as possible for ease in framing.
Wait until you see it in person - it will make a fantastic addition to your collection or to give as a cherished gift to a collector. This item comes from a smoke free environment.
