You can combine in the multiple items at a rate of $1.50 per additional item up to 6 items in one package. This has changed due to Ebay's new socialistic policies that take away all sellers' rights to charge insurance or even make it available as an extra on large packages only. Plus, they are raising fees even more than they are now and charging a final value fee on shipping charges. Sorry to sound so angry but I am. My goal was to provide cool, natural gemstones at a price everyone could afford so we all could have a neat collection but I am in danger of losing my business due to these ever increasing charges.
----International buyers can combine at a rate of $2 per item due to the higher postage rates and Ebay's new policy that the seller is 100% responsible for these packages. If something were to happen, I am screwed so unfortunately I have to try and make a small kitty for lost items so that it doesnt put me under..
Do not make any single payments if you wish to combine. After I send the invoice I prefer you pay within 3-5 days but I am very flexible as long as the communication is there.
P a y m e n t:
I prefer PayPal but am very flexible. Just contact me if you would like to use some other form of payment.
I have to say that paypal/ebay requires the delivery confirmation which is a fabulous tool. I have had a several lost domestic packages and the delivery confirmation confirmed that my package never got there. What is that about? So you charge me extra to lose the package, but at least you can make sure you know. Great Stuff!
S h i p p i n g:
I ship immediately after we receive complete payment most times.
- First Class Mail plus delivery confirmation(Domestic) - $3.50 plus additional item fee (1.50 per item) -
- First Class Mail (International) - $9.99 for plus $2 per additional item fee
Domestic items should be received within 2 weeks and really much quicker than that, but if not, please contact me as I have had some issues with postal service lately. Oh right, they suck. There is tracking so you can always see that I sent the package out right away and since there is delivery confirmation it will let you know that you did not receive it.
I hate to have to say this but I suppose it needs to be said. Domestic postage can get to a pretty high number even with combining and some will say that's crazy and it doesn't cost that much. I will tell you exactly what the costs are and why it has to be this way. The postage includes a glass top display box for each stone that costs approx 50 cents apiece. It also includes the mailing which is $1.75 to start before any added weight above 3 ounces. They no longer have rates for ounces so you can save some by sending less weight. It is just up to 3 ounces for bubble mailers is $1.75... Then there are the little things that quickly add up like the bubble mailer, the package material I use and printer paper and ink and all that little stuff. Here is the kicker. I get charged a percentage fee on postage by ebay and then the percentage charge by Paypal for receiving the money and of course the listing fees, which you get charged over and over again if an item has to keep being relisted for a while. I am not even going to get into the lousy taxes but that is a killer and is absurd and that is why so many of our big companies are opening an office in certain foreign countries and claiming that it is there home office. This is actually legal as of now. So in the end, I am really charging a very small handling fee, if at all, for a large amount of time that it takes to obtain the stones and sort through them all and test everything with multiple tests and then take pictures, upload them to the computer and write a listing, attaching photos. I also have to pay a monthly fee to Auctiva now and Ebay if I open a store. So, if you can take that all in, you will see that I have no choice and in all honesty, the shipping needs to be higher just to make sure I dont lose money on each transaction. There are many items that I even post at cost and less than cost and end up either losing money or just getting the 50 cents I may make off the postage that Ebay takes right back from me in fees. So when you look and see the postage and think, wow that is high, think about all that goes into it and the fact that I am trying to keep item cost as low as possible for genuine gemstones and not some piece of glass that you will get from some other dealers. I am doing the best I can and when someone contacts me about the postage, it really hurts my feelings and makes me angry at the same time. So please understand that postage cost is not just a stamp on an envelope. I can certainly raise item cost and charge no shipping if that is better but then Ebay charges me more of a listing fee. I really do try to be as honest as possible and after you hear all the facts, you will better understand basically that Ebay is making it really tough for its sellers to stay above water and we really have no choice. I am not just selling something that you take a picture of and post. There is some work involved even before I csn do that and some expensive equipment I have purchased to help make testing the stones a little more idiot proof. Now, I can actually take a picture of the RI test and show it if anyone asks because it is digital. I will post the pics now and then but taking the pics for all of them interrupts the flow and takes a lot more time so please ask if you want to see it for certain stones. I will be happy to get it for you. Most people wont be able to test above 1.81 so you might want to ask for things like zircons or sphenes. I have no problem doing it for anyone....Thank you all for your understanding of all this. I just want people to know that I am not making a bunch of money on the postage. It kind of is what it is. I could stop using the little boxes and charge 50 cents less per item but I like them and the really protect the stones for travel.

Any item may be returned for a refund within 14 days of receipt (the date you receive the item through the shipper) of package. I refund 100% of the purchase but that does not include shipping fees unless the seller is at fault. For instance, any lost item or broken item, although not necessarily my fault is still treated as my fault and refund is 100%, including shipping. However, if you get something you don't like, and the listing was accurate, and want to return it than shipping fees are not refunded. I try to do the best I can to be fair. Every situation is different.....
Unfortunately, I now have to institute a restocking fee of $2 for returns. Of course, I will only enforce this in certain situations as I have received returns in the mail without any prior contact and others in which people are buying several items and in reality only want one so they buy a bunch so they can pick out the best one and return the others. Meanwhile they will outbid legitimate bidders and leave me stuck with a lost sale and a refund I have to process. Just like a buyer, I dont like to be taken advantage of and anyone who has purchased off me knows, I do my best to make sure everyone is happy. Obviously, if there is a return under normal circumstances, I will not charge this fee but I am also not stupid, for the most part, and know that when things look fishy, they usually are. Also, please read the specifications closely. Several times I have been asked for refunds because the item appears to be smaller than expected. This should never happen. It should always be exactly the size expected as I list the size of the stone. If I listed some of these specific instances, most of you would laugh and understand my need to cover my end. I hope you can appreciate that. I am one of the most honest people on this site almost to a fault but in order to stay in business, I have to make sure both sides are happy. I just ask that people follow normal etiquette and put themselves in my position when thinking of doing something.....Thank you all so much
I reserve the right to change policies at any time. Not sure why I even need to say that.
I also need to say something about the pictures. I don not use a lot of light or an HD camera and some program to enhance my photos. They are what they are so due to lighting or lack of, some items will look lighter or darker in hand. I like to say it is a science to be able to take what you see and know what you will get. Adding light is a necessary evil in taking pictures. A lot of green items will be darker in hand like Chrome Diopside or Tourmaline. It is tough to make everyone happy but in order to be good at something you have to be bad at it at some point so you can figure out how to be better and figuring out photos online is something learned mostly by getting a few items that stink. Sometimes I advise people that got something they didnt like because lets say it has less color than the picture. I print out the picture in the listing and keep that stone with the picture so I know when I look at this picture, this will be the actual color I get. So I wouldnt get upset if or actually when you get a stone that is less than I expected or not what the listing says it is. I would use it to learn how to be a better judge of the photos. I dont mean me. I mean every dealer and I cant count how many pieces I bought that I didnt think were what the listing said it was and it just wasnt worth returning. I try to be a accurate as possible but you will find that I might be the only one and I screw up sometimes too. Just something to think about..Thanks for listening, Stephen
I am a gem enthusiast that tries to provide quality gems at low prices. All my items are checked several times for authenticity so you can be 99.9% sure anything you get is authentic. I buy bulk items and break them down to try and provide great stones at low prices. There are way to many fakes out there and you have to be real careful when buying gemstones. I try and take the worry out of buying so down the road, if you want to sell one of your items, you can be sure it is real and not just a piece of glass or a lab or synthetic item. I take the risk and you get the reward. I use some pretty cool equipment to test the stones including a new gem computer not just a refractometer. This piece has the newest technology in home testing and just became available May or June of this year. I ordered mine in early April and got it in June because the release date kept getting pushed back.
My contact email is oh right Ebay has yet another new policy of no emails allowed or they wont post my items
Maybe I should just say that if you have a question for me to contact Ebays customer service. If you are truly looking for worthless service that is where you go. I tried it myself just to make sure and I found out something very important that can save e1 a lot of time. They hire the dumbest people on the planet. I wanted to work for them but was told that if I went to middle school, I was too educated. My question was about them double charging me and that I had proof of it. Their answer was "it is not in our policy to refund listing fees" and that is a direct quote. I said you are charging me twice for the same exact item listed at the same exact second of the same day and I have the paperwork to prove it. They said it must have been something I had selected on Ebay when I posted items. I said I dont even use Ebay to post my items you idiot. So after 30 mins of useless back and forth, I gave up. I started thinking. This is how they do customer service. They hire morons and tell them just to act normal and the customer will eventually just go away in disgust. That is just one of my many examples of my dealings with customer service. So please, any questions, contact them and when you do, give them an F off from me...Thank you for your support
I may sound bitter in my statements about Ebay and the USPS and that is just well because I am. By no means does this affect how I deal with my customers. I am more an advocate for us regular people that just dont want to be taken advantage of by paying more money for less service. unfortunately, it seems this has become more the norm than the exception.
