Facebook Page The Bakery Fabrics I use the old fashioned method of tearing most fabric except for panels or obvious patterns or prints that do better with cutting. This ensures that if the fabric grain is pulled askew when its rolled on the bolt you can straighten the grain and not get short cut. This is very important for clothing so that garments hang properly. A great example of this is less expensive clothing is often cut off grain and never quite fits right.
Although most of my customers prefer the ripping method I am always ready to please the customer who prefers a cut.
