Why Cell Guard encapsulation?  Cell Guard is specially formulated for DIY and volume production solar panel lines.  Cell Guard is better than EVA since it will never yellow or break down from exposure to the sun, heat or cold.  It is optically clear, fully mendable, has a long work time and easily pourable.  Cell Guard will cure "soft" allowing cushioning of the cells and has the same expansion properties as solar cells and glass.  

This is not the ultra fast cure Solar-Tite which is not not made for or ever recommended for DIY Solar panels by any cell or panel manufacture.  Solar-Tite will start to cure in 5 minutes and that will not give you enough time to get the bubbles out of the panel and then you wasted your time and money.

This is Two (2) 1.1lb kits of Cell Guard (same as Sylgard 184) encapsulation kit for your solar cells.  Depending on how thick you want to put on the Cell Guard encapsulation liquid you can cover a large 60 cell (3x6) panel or a smaller 36 cell panel.  If you are not going to use any back sheet then use 1 kit for the 36 (3x6) cell panel.  Encapsulation of your cell is mandatory to extend their life and efficiency rating.  Work time is about 4 hours.  Cures in a couple days at room temperature.  

The 4 hour work time of Cell Guard is much better than the other brands that start to cure in 5 minutes. That kind of fast cure will not allow you to get the liquid under all cells and remove all bubbles.
