You are bidding on 2 Beautiful Pieces of Antique Furniture Hand Painted and Antiqued Distressed Painted Highchest Dresser and a Matching Antiqued Distressed Painted Vanity with Mirror. This furniture set was in our family for years. They are original antique furniture probably walnut wood. We do not know the maker of this furniture but believe to be from the 1920-30s era. The dresser and vanity may not be of the same maker but is from the same era. In the late 60's the dresser and vanity were antiqued painted to match each other and our grandfather handpainted roses floral on the wood motifs. We all loved this set but none of us have room in our homes, so sadly it is time to find them a new home. The knobs on both pieces are the antique originals. This furniture definitely has the shabby chic appearance because of the age wear. You could just touch up this gold edge and bring it new life or leave it as is for that shabby chic look that you all want. Both Pieces have decorative carved aprons and elegant bulbous fluted legs. Both pieces were lovingly hand painted and hand artisan distressed in a FRENCH COUNTY COTTAGE style adding to its charm and character. All profuse ornate carvings and detail hand highlighted.. THIS PROCESS TAKES HOURS upon HOURS per piece to recreate - ALL HAND DONE. They do have old nicks, chips and cracks from their previous life adding to the Chic character. Fabulous furniture pieces that will offer years of form and function..Making these treasured heirlooms.

1. Antiqued Painted with Handpainted Floral Roses Antique Vanity

The Vanity has two side doors on either side for tons of room for Make-Up, Perfume, Jewelry, Brushes etc. This vanity has a mirror that tilts. It has middle opening to sit a small chair or stool. Solid and Sturdy. As you can see that the top has some blemish to the finish. Measures approximately 39" long x 16" deep x 64 1/2" tall including top of mirror.

2. Antiqued Painted with Handpainted Floral Roses Antique High Chest Dresser

This High Chest Dresser has 5 dovetail drawers. The two top drawers are smaller and were used for scarves, socks, jewelry and etc. Measures approximately 30 1/4" long x 16" deep x 46" tall. As you can see from the photo's the drawers are dovetailed, some of the dovetail drawers need to be reglued to make it more sturdy. This dresser is made of solid real wood not like furniture of today. This dresser has some blemish to it's top, it looks like a wet pot or a glass sat there. I thought it might be easy to touch up this spot or simply place a doily in that area. Like the vanity you could touch up this gold edge easily to give it new life as well and so they would match if you were to put them in the same room.
