This auction for a vintage Zoom Studio 1201, a rack module multi-effects processor. It is in perfect functioning condition and great cosmetic condition. It will arrive accompanied by a pdf type manual and a power supply. The Zoom Studio 1201 is your basic easy dial up effects unit. It is an underrated unit in that some of it’s effects are “spot on”, while the rest are OK and useable. Those effects that the Zoom produces so well are the real value of the unit. This is what you use when you need a solid effect easily and quickly. The Zoom Studio 1201 is a rackmount stereo multi-effects processor with 44.1kHz sampling, 18-bit over-sampling converters and an on-board repertoire of 363 preset effects and effect combinations; each of which has one adjustable main parameter. The Zoom 1201 does not support MIDI nor programming. The Zoom 1201 offers the usual reverb, modulation, pitch-shift and delay effects. Also, there are more contemporary processes for fattening up vocals or samples, ring modulation for torturing over-polite sounds, and interestingly an 18-band vocoder. The Zoom Studio 1201 has stereo ins and outs on quarter-inch jacks and a further jack for an optional bypass. The Zoom Studio 1201 has one rotary switch used to select the 11 effects types and another is used to select 11 variations on those effects. A three-position slide switch then provides three different banks of effects types, This "character variation" knob allows users to choose between 11 variations for each of the 33 effects. |
