Victorian doll dress made to fit 34" antique dolls with a slender waist. Dress is modeled on a 1999 reproduction Bru. Doll not included in this auction.
The bodice of this dress is lined with muslin. The sleeves are a period perfect Victorian mutton, with a mint green upper and a baby pink lower. The edges of the sleeves are trimmed with ecru cotton lace. The skirt is lined with the same green dotted swiss fabric, but has a pink dotted swiss ruffled hem. For more volume, a petticoat should be added; as it is right now, it is displayed without a slip, but the skirt is lined. The dress has hidden snaps in the back sewn to the lining for discreetness. The oh so precious apron is fashioned from a vintage pillowcase. It has pink crocheted rosettes and lovely delicate open work. It has been shirred on a wide grosgrain ribbon sash that ties in a lush bow in the back. All this ensemble really needs is a sweet locket and a new hair bow. Total length of the dress is about 20 inches. Buyer will receive the dress and matching apron in this auction. All items are from a smoke free home.WOULD BE IDEAL FOR EASTER/SPRING DISPLAY.
Measurements on the doll modeling are as follows: height 34 inches, chest 12 1/2 inches, waist 11 inches, arms are 11 inches long from shoulder plate to wrists.
