Why choose LIYU cutter plotters?
1. Reputation- LIYU is the first manufacture of plotter in China which focus on cutter plotters for more than 20 years! They got many experienced and top engineers to follow each model of plotters, unlike some manufacture has no engineer just join the parts. Many other manufactures copied or emulated by LIYU plotters, but with the constant investment at LIYU they will always be one step behind.
Previously Chinese cutters have had bad press particularly from those who have paid 3 or 4 thousand pounds for their basic Roland or Graphtec. In general a lot of this was deserved, largely because no supplier hung around long enough to support the products they sold.
We have changed all of this. Not only do Liyu cutters regularly get comments such as "it cuts small letters better than my Roland ever did" and the level of support BEFORE you buy is second to non. But most importantly with the introduction of phone and remote computer support, installing your LIYU cutter has never been easier ,plus after sales support is readily available in many forms.
2. The best quality control system- LIYU has the most strict parts testing process which only around 46% parts from suppliers passed by their testing. The criterior used by other manufactures are always around 94%.(Hence the chinese cutter reputation) That means around 48% parts of the plotters from other manufactures may have potential problems or even stop working in the short term. That's why Liyu's cutter plotters are more reliable and work for long time . ( some customers in china still use their plotters after 15 years.) As of now,, this strict quality control system only LIYU currently do this as it needs many engineers to carry it out , takes a long time and costs a lot.
3. With full technical knowledge and more responsible- LIYU only use the most reliable and quality parts, not these cheapest ones. However some sellers on ebay still sell the cheapest cutter plotters from China. These plotters like R*****, V**** or some OEM plotters are from a manufacture who use the cheapest parts and built by inexperienced workers or even farmers. (they often get a worker just come 1 day without necessary training to work directly). These manufacturers also have no engineers to control the quality of parts , their plotters have been around with little or no changes for more than 5 years. (Hence the chinese cutter reputation)
The SC series cutter plotter
The SC model cutter plotter is the first one produced in China, it's one of the cutter plotters which have had the biggest sales in the last 20 years. It's a matured product that very stable but engineers keep upgrading it . Its a very affordable and an economical model with a 4 meg buffer that is very good for both beginners and low volume professional users alike . (if you want a 64 meg buffer the TC series is for you)
Software (optional)
Flexi-starter- it's a professional design and cutting software which is also the best one we have tested for our plotters so far. It comes with many useful functions that can save you lots of time and cost. It comes with a dongle for lift time usage. (Recommended)
1 year signcut pro- it's a budget software good for beginners to testing. It can plug into the coreldraw, illustrator and inkscape. It can support with mac system as well. However, it's not so stable as flexi-starter, sometimes got problems when cutting complex images or issues with their server. It only can ONLY beADDED TO THE BUNDLE by the customers who purchase our plotters. WE do NOT sell signcut, ONLYBUNDLE IT ON REQUEST
Other software- All the plotters can cut from CorelDraw directly when installed with the correct CorelDraw driver. However, we don't recommend this to customers as it's not professional cutting software. CorelDraw, Illustrator and AutoCAD have no options for configuring the plotter. Whilst it can be done, it's not easy to set up the CorelDraw driver. Some cheap software from China like artcut is not a good software when been tested by us. It has many functions and many of them can't used or have many problems when used.
Note: Some sellers offer plotters on ebay with many copied software in their package. Beware of OEM and Copied software downloaded from certain links offered by some suppliers, copied software is illegal, don't take the risk of breaking the law. Also we have tested almost all the OEM and Cutting software some of which are not reliable, Some present problems for various options and others are not a good choice for ease of use! Thats said there are non we have not been able to get to communicate with our cutters. (What we can not do is guarantee they will work without problems)
Sadly good cutting software is not cheap and if its offered free you really do have to look twice.
If its too good to be true them its probably not!
Upgrade to the optical eye model:
We also have optical eye plotters, available on all of our range. Although they can not be retro fitted due to their complexity they can be added (on initial purchase) to all our plotters for as little as an extra £50 for SC. Please check our products. The costs of each optical eye are very different on other manufacturers cutters ; the cheap one can't do the job very well. (also depends on the programme on-board. there can be many mm difference in the result if its not good).

Negative feedback thankfully is relatively rare for us. We have only 4 so far in 1096 sales. The last person to leave bad feedback is a liar and actually signed for a damaged item on delivery. Despite that he was asked to send it back together with the photo taken by the driver, at time of delivery, so we could replace his item and make a claim from the courier, he declined to do so.(we cant do much about that) The reason he did this was because he wanted free software out of us.
The other 3 are all from the same buyer...If you look at our feedback you will be able see what he did to others (fraud) and has now been kicked off ebay.
Thankfully 99.9% of ebayers are brilliant, sadly there are some spiteful ones who try scams and spoil it for others.
If you have a gripe then please speak to us first, we will explain our position, usually we can solve most problems. What we cant solve if a customer who is intent on giving bad feedback because they cant get their own way when they are being totally unreasonable.
Neutral feedback is a better option. It allows us to correct problems that might exist. For example recent vinyl supplies were below standard and our customers let us know. We replaced supplies to any one who requested it and we no longer use that supplier.
