JEMEZ PUEBLO FRIENDSHIP PUPPY DOG BOWL

BY AWARD WINNING NATIVE AMERICAN ARTIST: TERI CAJERO

This whimsical puppy dog friendship bowl was made by award winning Jemez Pueblo artist, Teri Cajero. This piece features six puppies peering at the bone inside the bowl. The piece measures approximately 4" tall to the top of the cat's heads. The bowl portion  measures about 2.75" tall x just under 3" width diameter at the opening. The base measures about 1.25" diameter x about 3.75" width across the cats. The artist hand coiled this piece using clay gathered from the grounds of the Jemez Pueblo of New Mexico. Teri uses all natural slips and fires her pottery outdoors as is traditional. She hand paints her pieces with traditional symbols and painted corn stalks on this piece. This is an impressive bowl without any chips or cracks.

Teri is a member of the Sun Clan of the Jemez Pueblo of New Mexico. She is an award winning artist from a family of well known Jemez artists. Teri is the daughter of Anita and Aaron Cajero.
