Vintage Herters Bamboo Fly Rod 9 ft. Four Piece (2 Tips) GREAT condition 

This was my father’s old fly fishing rod. It looks to be in excellent condition. I see no cracks or defects and it assembled nicely.  It comes with the two tips along with the metal case and cloth.  The case is rather rusty but the rod is fine.

I did not know what was important to capture via picture but can email a separate picture to you if you are specific of what you want to see. I’m not trying to hide anything; I really just don’t know how to picture this thing best.

It looks great and I don’t think the winning buyer will have any problems with it. If you do, and there is something major I’m missing, returns will be accepted.

FEEDBACK - PLEASE READ: As some of you may or may not be aware of, eBay has been using the star system for rating sellers. The basic premise is that anonymously you can rate sellers and create a more honest eBay.  That is not the truth. eBay uses this to lower sellers ratings and thus charge them higher fees, eliminate any discounts for high volume sellers and NOW hold your proceeds for 30 days in Paypal.

I had 300 selling transactions in the last year.  I received all positive feedback with 3 neutrals. Over Christmas though, I went from a Top seller to a Below Standard seller because the USPS was bogged down in their shipping time and even though I shipped everything within 24 hours, I received four 1-2 star ratings in that category because of the USPS delays. Ebay now gives me low listing preferences (pushing their large, corporate sellers to the top of searches), charges me more to sell and holds my money for every sale I make. All of this for something I have no control over.

If you Google “eBay detailed seller ratings”, you will see the horror stories it causes sellers. Because eBay has a monopoly on the online auction markets, there is nowhere else to go. They are catering to extremely large volume sellers like Buy.com, TigerDirect and others and pushing down the small/medium size sellers that made them what they are today.

EDIT: After measuring the pieces, it comes up a little short of 9'. The exact measurements of the sections are the butt and mid section are 35" each and the two tip sections are 34 3/4" each
