He first came to prominence in the mid-60s as a founding member of the legendary Rising Sons alongside Ry Cooder, before striking out on his own with a string of successful albums for Columbia. He continued to broaden his approach by taking in folk and roots music influences from around the world. Oooh So Good'n Blues was one of his most consistently enjoyable albums and has never before been issued on CD. Highlights of this vibrant selection of tunes include covers of standards ‘Dust My Broom', ‘Built for Comfort' and ‘Railroad Bill', plus his own ‘Little Red Hen' and ‘Mama Don't You Know'.
