This piece dates to the 1950's and I can say that as it is a family piece, belonged to my cousin and my aunt saved it all these many years in the attic!!! Also, you see the Delphos Bending Company, Delphos, Ohio, signature on the bottom of the seat and that is one of the original markings used by them. This company made this rocker just as you see it from 1945 until 1979 and in 1993 the company closed their doors for the last time. This exact piece is listed in their 1950 catalog as a 'Teetertot Shoofly'. This rocker is made from golden oak and it is in virtually pristine condition - only the retainer strap, which is original, needs any attention and it truly should be replaced as this one, a woven web piece, is quite old and would probably not do the job anymore. Everything is here and just as it was almost 60 years ago, John is now 62. The rocker stands 13" high, 34" long, and 14" wide. Hopefully the photos tell you just about everything you need to know but if there are questions, do not hesitate to send me an email.
Shipping on this will not be listed as it is intended for local pickup. The rocker is located in SW Houston, Texas. Should one of you folks just have to have this piece shipped, send me a message and I will do what I can to accomodate that. Payment for this item using other than PayPal is greatly appreciated.
