This is a REALLY BEAUTIFUL elegant vintage 60's ORNATE NAVAJO MORENCI Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace with MOST INTERESTING & BEAUTIFUL TEAL colored HIGH GRADE MORENCI turquoise that I have only seen on one other squash blossom!!!! Every gem on each blossom is super unique with matrixes that range from heavy chunky to super fine spider webbed matrixes and are perfectly matched. Not only are the matrixes extra special but these gems are loaded with all kinds of goodies from fine speckled pyrite that look like silver glitter to fine chunks of quartz! It is mesmerizing to look and each gem individually to appreciate these stunning high grade stones. Looking at the gems under a magnifying glass is like looking at the beautiful deep blue water in the ocean with the matrixes that looks like the reef does when looking at the ocean from high above. These gems definitely have that translucent layer that is only found in high grade gems. This squash blossom is not a huge one, but with these usually rich teal colored gems, this necklace will definitely be seen from across the room! Make sure you look at each close up photos of all the stones to see all the unique and beautiful matrix patterns and the deep teal color . Squash blossoms like this one with gems and flawless silver work of this quality are not only beautiful to wear but are very collectable and a great investment. This necklace doesn't look like all the others out there with the typical shiny blue heavily stabilized turquoise with rounded cabochons all lined up. This squash blossom has gorgeous ornate silver work with blossoms all individually handmade to fit each individual gem. A lot of the low quality squash blossoms have blossom settings that are mass produced and do not fit each stone perfectly like they do on this necklace. So if you're looking for a squash blossom with most beautiful unique high quality gems that pop and can bee seen from a very far distance.....this is the necklace for you! These cabs have that slightly transparent top blue layer with beautiful luster that only higher grade stones have...not the dull opaque lack of luster that low grade stones have. The color with all the matrixes are mesmerizing. The cabs have a really nice polish and are in excellent condition. Morenci turquoise is known its very high grade stones and is no longer mined, so that makes this a very collectable rare turquoise! This is a very well made necklace...which is why it weighs 241 GRAMS even though it looks much smaller than those low quality larger Squash Blossom necklaces! If you look at the 8th photo you can see how thick the sterling is on the blossom settings with beautifully stamped rounded edges and the most beautiful ornate floral design.The beads are a oval shaped handmade older style beads which date this necklace to being made sometime during the 60's to early 70's shown in the 11th photo. Handmade beads also help to add value to a Native American necklace instead of machine made beads...since it is extremely labor intensive. This is a real great squash blossom with stones and silver work that is so beautiful that you may never see another one like it. That is the beauty of Native American jewelry. Each handmade piece has it's unique style and stones that can never be duplicated.....where machine made fine jewelry like diamonds all look the same. So if you see a piece that you absolutely love, buy it ! My prices are also very reasonable. They're not even close to retail so it's always a great deal! What you see in the photos is truly what you will get. I don't use special lighting or filters in my photos to enhance the jewelry, so sometimes the photos can look a little dark but the color is true so that you will know just what you are buying.
