 Just out of a local house is this fine watercolor of musicians by Joseph Kossonogi. It depicts three musicians, a violinist, a pianist, and probably a cellist. With the frame it measures 26 9/16 inches wide and 20 7/8 inches high. The artwork alone measures 18 7/8 inches wide and 12 13/16 inches high. The painting is in very good condition with only a slight 1/2 inch crease in the upper midsection. The mat board has some discoloration and the frame has some scratching and scuff marks. See photos. The painting is signed in the lower left. It is also marked on the back; Sold by Alexander Art Gallery, Tibemas Israel Oct 1962. It is also noted that the painting was sold to a New York City doctor. Would make a nice addition to any collection. Guaranteed old and as described. |
