Usually branded Coral--Coral examples themselves are not easy to find--this is an extremely rare example of a Danelectro-branded Firefly! This guitar is a 1967 Danelectro Firefly. Usually marketed under Danelectro's high-end brand Coral, these guitars were created as an alternative to Gibson's hollow-body line, particularly the ES-330. The famous tone of the Danelectro lipstick-tube single-coil pickups is given an incredible twist when paired with this fully hollow guitar. This guitar has been professionally set up and plays great! Low action and a surprisingly fast neck. It is in great condition for its age; has some lacquer checking on the front, and a slight crack in the finish near the neck pickup, which is missing a mounting ring (not necessary). However, these imperfections are purely cosmetic and do not affect the sound, playability, or structural integrity of the guitar. All electronics work and the pickups sound excellent. Guitar is all-original. Will ship to the lower 48 states in a TKL gig bag. Will accept returns within 7 days.           |
