Up for auction is a bisque doll head manufactured in Germany by Max Handwerck in the early 1900s. Smooth bisque, painted upper & lower lashes. Molded and painted eyebrows. 4 teeth. Brown working sleep eyes. Intact eye lid wax. Head is 5-1/2" long, 10-1/4” around the top and approximately 5-7/8” around the neck. She has wig pulls (see photo). No cracks. Replacement long blonde wig and pate are included. Will make approximately 23" long doll with appropriate body. Marks on the back of the head: 283 / 28.5 MAX. HANDWERCK Germany 2 ¼
