About the DJ: Bernie Allen began his radio career while he was still in High School at WIND Radio in Chicago, and was at WIND up until 1961. He then worked at another Chicago Station WJJD and in 1963 joined the 890 Crew on WLS replacing the Art Roberts shift from 12:30 to 3 p.m. who then moved to the night shift. In 1971 Bernie Allen left WLS Radio and stayed in Chicago Radio at various stations until he retired from WJJD in 1990. This hour broadcast uncut and unedited will throw you back to what I think was a much better time in Radio .... 1967!
