        We ordered a "similar" unit from our competitors for a one on one comparison. When we compared the Disk Jockey Pro Forensic Edition to the competition, we were astounded at the differences. The Disk Jockey Pro Forensic Edition blew the competition away in all the following categories:

        Ease of use: The DJ Pro doesn't require a wiring diagram to connect  The competitors units come with a bag full of cables and wires with no markings!         The Disk Jockey Pro Forensic Edition is ideal for all of the following applications:

        · Drive Copy/Cloning Up to 2 UltraDMA disks simultaneously! Sector by sector , non-destructive copy. Copies hidden files. Upgrade your old drive to a new, larger capacity drive. Clone your old operating system, software, internet settings, Everything to a new large drive and forget about running out of disk space ever again. Just plug the new drive back into your system and restart.

        • Drive Copy/Cloning Protection - Complete security for your Source drive. The Source drive is ALWAYS Write Protected during a copy. There is no way whatsoever for anything to ever be written back to the source drive during a copy.

        · Drive erase - Single pass x1 or DoD X7 Pass for increased security. Don't send that old PC to the auction without erasing your private information. Never worry about who has your bank account number ever again.

        - Partition Copy: Set up a smaller, dedicated partition on a hard drive and the DJ will only copy that partition creating an even faster copy. Example: Are you setting up systems and your operating system software only takes up 40 GB of space, but your source drive is 160 GB? Using a full sector-by-sector copy would take approximately 40 minutes. If you set up a 40 GB partition and left the rest of the source disk unallocated, the DJ will ONLY copy the 40 GB partition which takes only 10 minutes!

        · Expand - Expand your current available disk size by adding more storage directly off the Disk Jockey Pro. Use the Disk Jockey Pro as external storage by connecting a raw drive directly from the DJ Pro to your workstation via USB 2.0. Don't waste money on external enclosures ever again.

        OPTIONS – The DJF comes with a variety of options to help you customize your user experience. The following is a very brief description of the options available. If you are unfamiliar with what settings to use, please keep the “Default Factory Settings” in place.

        • Buzzer - Turn on/off the audible alarm as well as the buzzer heard when the POWER/START button is pressed on or off.

        •  Max XFR Mode – Sets the maximum data transfer speed. NOTE- The actual data transfer rate will depend on the HDD.

        • Auto Skip – Allows the DJ to skip bad sectors and continue with the operation. HINT – This setting is useful when attempting to copy parts of a drive even through part of the disk may be damaged.

        • Retry Count – Determines the number of retry attempts when an error is detected. Default is 5, setting goes to 99.

        • Timeout Retry – Selects/deselects whether or not the DJ will attempt a retry when a timeout is detected.

        • CRC Error Retry – Sets whether or not an automatic retry is attempted with a CRC Error is detected.

        • Auto Shutdown – Sets whether or not power is turned off at the end of an operation. If OFF, the display shows the details of the operation after completed until the POWER/START button is turned off.

        • Timeout Period – Allows setting the amount of time before reporting a timeout.

        • Spin-up Gap Time – Allows setting the time before the HDD spindle motor begins spinning. This can be useful with working with large capacity drives that require a large power load on the DJF.

        • Scroll Speed – Sets the display scroll speed.

        • Buzzer Mode – Select from three different buzzer
