This is enough wire to interconnect strings of 3" X 6" solar cells for a 36 cell solar panel.
This listing is for a 10 foot length of lead-free solar cell bus wire for DIY solar panel construction. This is the wire that is used to connect the strings of cells together and carry the power out to your battery bank, inverter or other use. Our wire is more substantial than some of the flimsy "tinsel" wire that comes in some kits and will hold its shape and sit still when you solder it to your tabbing wire or Schottky diode. There is no need to add additional solder when connecting this bus wire. This wire is also a full 5mm wide, which should carry all of the power that your panel generates.
Our wire is made of a high quality flat copper strip that is coated in lead-free solder. Bus wire is used in solar (photovoltaic) applications to carry the energy created by the strings of cells so you can use it. You connect the tabbing wire to the bus wire to combine all of the energy the solar cells produce. You could call it solar panel "hook up wire". This is a heavier and wider wire than tabbing wire and is designed to carry more power. Generally, in DC applications the bigger a wire is, the more power it can carry.
