0 to 2mm's (some bigger) (pieces are sent randomly, above is a guide only)

Aerogel is a very rare manufactured material with the lowest bulk density of any known porous solid on earth! It is derived from a gel in which the liquid component of the gel has been replaced with a gas. The result is an extremely low-density solid, with a notable effectiveness as a thermal insulator. It is translucent in nature and can appear as a light blue, red or white. It feels like expanded polystyrene to the touch. Silica aerogel holds 15 entries in the Guinness book of records for material properties, including best insulator and lowest-density solid!

Please note - Silica Aerogel is very fragile and will crumble when handled to rough, if you want it to stay in a solid piece please keep handling to a minimum.
SHIPPING All Silica Aerogel pieces are sent wrapped in cotton wool and placed in a small plastic container.
