This is a vintage tripod tree stand. It measures 10 in. when the three legs are together--about 9 in. when the legs are opened out. The stand is metal and painted green--there are some places where the green paint is worn.

PLEASE READ—USPS rates changed in January 2012—Items are not being shipped as quickly as USPS states—Parcel Post is cheaper on large items but takes much longer—even longer than the USPS shows. Priority is not what it used to be—it is taking a lot longer than USPS says when you are buying—USPS also is not keeping their tracking information updated. Your ebay page will show you when I shipped the package and that is all I can do—after that it is up to the USPS to get it delivered. The shipping calculator does not show all of the options and does not combine items. Ebay wants sellers to offer free shipping—there is no such thing—the USPS will not go for it—ebay wants sellers to add it into the price of the item—this is not free—either way there is still shipping. I only charge USPS and UPS rates plus the $2.00 handling fee on large or expensive items and the fee will cover insurance. Sellers are not allowed to offer insurance – but the buyer can request it –keep this in mind if you think that it item is important enough. If these terms are not agreeable with you and you are not going to follow through with your end of the deal—please pass this auction by. I am always fair and am willing to work with the buyer and hope that the buyer will be the same before leaving low ratings or bad feedback.

I will now only accept Paypal due to ebay's new policy. SORRY! Item will be shipped as soon as payment is cleared--usually within 3 days excluding Sundays, Holidays and bad weather. Payment is required within 7 days unless you have made other arrangements with me before the end of the auction. I will send a reminder after 4 days-- and after 10 days an unpaid item dispute will be filed with ebay and the sale will be void. I am always willing to work with a buyer if the request is reasonable.

READ!!!! Priority Mail is no what it used to be--ebay shows the buyer 2-3 day delivery and it shows the seller 5-6 days--and it can take up to 10. After the rate changes go into effect the second week in Jan. WHO KNOWS!!Ebay is now charging the seller a final value fee on the shipping cost as well as the final selling price--it is based on what the buyer pays for the shipping--because of this I will will be adding a $2.00 handling fee on large items--it is automatically added in when the shipping calculator shows you the cost--you can thank ebay for this. I will remove the $2.00 small lightweight inexpensive items if you wait for the invoice instead od using the pay now. This means that we will be paying fees on money that we do not even receive. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you do not pay with the PAY NOW that ebay sends as soon as an auction ends--ebay makes it appear that you do not have a choice but you can wait or you can request an invoice with the total. DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU ARE INVOICED--I will send one as soon as I get the package ready and weighed, you might be able to save some money on the shipping cost if you wait until I have the package completely wrapped-- the shipping calculator is wrong a lot of times and does not show any discounts--sometimes the shipping calculator does not show all of the options especially on lightweight or combined purchases-- the weight may be a little different one way or the other--but I am always fair and will go to extra trouble to trim down boxes to save an ounce to hopefully get the package within the rate range--so if you use the Pay Now you will be cheating yourself--so please do not give me a bad 5 star rating when I am really trying to help you save even just a little. ebay no longer allows sellers to offer insurance-- the invoice will NOT show insurance--the $2.00 handling fee will cover insurance if it is left on the invoice. I will not be able to refund any overpaid postage because of the way ebay has the final value fees figured. I cannot refund money on uninsured items and postage is not included in any refund. I will combine shipping on items within 10 days if you will let me know that you are still bidding. You will only be charged for the extra weight. I will ship domestic packages- Priority-Parcel Post-First Class (if weight is under 13 oz.) and Media Mail (if the item qualifies)--sometimes Priority is just as cheap with my online shipping discount which will be passed along to you--but the shipping calculator does not show it to you--WAIT for the invoice. I use online shipping for tracking purposes and it is convenient and quicker. Priority includes delivery confirmation for free, but all other choices will include 19c for delivery confirmation. There is only 1 option for International shipping--Priority Mail International , I will not ship First Class International because it cannot be tracked. I always offer the best option for the package weight and size. Flat rate envelopes and boxes will be used when it makes it cheaper for heavy items that will fit into the box.I always package very securely and will do everything that I can to help but I cannot refund money on uninsured packages. UPS may be offered on heavier- compact- long distance packages--the discount changed in Feb. and does not make it as appealing as it was before. UPS will not be shipped daily. If you have any special requests or suggestions for shipping of your item please let me know, fragile or breakable items are individually wrapped and usually double boxed, it makes the weight heavier but is safer for the items being shipped. I use Auctiva as a listing service and the invoice that it sends puts whichever option that I have put in the top choice and makes it look like there is only one choice--but there is almost always at two options-- just look a little farther on the invoice. FOR INTERNATIONAL BUYERS--you the buyer must be responsible for any tariff or duty taxes. These are NOT included in any charges on any items that you purchase and I will NOT forge information on the customs form.

Please take time to mark the five star rating system--ebay is considering it very important in how our items are in the search standings. The next few comments are not meant as to make a buyer think that I am holding your feedback hostage --it is in order to protect myself from unfair practices due to Ebays new feedback policies, which are putting the burden on the seller, I will not be leaving feedback until I know that you are satisfied or not satisfied with your item. If I leave an immediate feedback just for the buyer paying promptly and then the buyer is not happy and just leaves me a negative without notifying me to let me resolve the problem--they have not done their part. The buyer does not get feedback for just purchasing the item, they have certain obligations also. I have never left a retaliatory feedback and do not want it done to me. Please read the description carefully, I never intentionally mislead anyone, but I am only human. If you are not going to pay, PLEASE PAS ON THIS ITEM. I will refund your purchase price--not the shipping ( I am willing to try to work something out with the buyer)-- if I have misrepresented the item or have made a mistake in my description--but PLEASE give me a chance to make an offer to resolve any problems before leaving negative feedback. Almost all of my items are bought at auctions and estate sales and have not been in my possession for a long period of time, so I do not know if there were pets involved with the item or not. I can not refund money just because you changed your mind or did not insure the package, I try to package very securely but I can not be responsible for the USPS. ebay does not allow a seller to offer insurance but it can be added at the buyer's request. If an item is damaged in shipping, in order to collect on the insurance, you must save all of the packing materials and the box. You will need to notify me immediately. If I am responsible for any misleading information, or you have a problem I must be notified as soon as you receive the item, and the item will have to be returned to me in the same condition as when it was sent. There has to be a time limit--within 14 days of receiving the package. Since I am using online shipping, it will show you on your ebay page when the label is printed, the package will be in the Postal Services hands that day or the next morning depending on the time of day payment is received( before or after the mail carrier has come). You can see by my feedbacks that I am fair and all I expect is the same from my buyers.
