Drawn to perfection, the Hentzi Copper Waste Baskets are hand embossed and polished copper plates are mounted on metal waste baskets covering all sides of the waste basket.Embossed with chickadees, mallards, owls, woodpeckers, moose, trout, and scores of other kinds of wildlife, the copper mailboxes, wastebaskets, and umbrella stands by Gregory E. Hentzi of Warren, Massachusetts, are beacons of brilliance. The artist boasts about five hundred hand-drawn designs spanning his thirty-plus years of work, each of which comes to life via antiquing and painting with silver plate before a coat of special lacquer. Hentzi has even tooled portraits of horses for silver-screen star John Wayne and waterscapes of wild Atlantic salmon for legendary baseball player (and celebrated fly-fisherman) Ted Williams.
