Volume Drop Attenuator for tube guitar amps up to 30 watts. This version is for 8 ohm output amps. The Volume Drop is a power attenuator or power soak that is placed between your amp head and your speaker cabinet. Unlike "volume box" type effects loop "attenuators", this device allows you to acheive power tube distortion at lower volumes.

The Volume Drop is switchable for true bypass should you want to use your amp as normal. When a signal is heavily attenuated (very low volume) there is some treble loss as a result. A bright switch has been added to the circuit to provide a subtle treble boost if needed. The unit is hand wired, constructed of quality components including: a heavy duty die cast aluminum case, Switchcraft jacks, industrial type switches, and 16 gauge wire.

An extra speaker cable will be required (NOT included)

With minor modifications, attenuator can be used with many combo amps as well. If your combo has a 1/4" speaker jack that is normally used, no modification is usually necessary.
