Huge Wind Generator Wind Turbine 2nd Generation

One of the largest PMA (Permanent Magnet  Alternator) Wind Generator sold on Ebay.  Largest at this price.

This is a Fantastic PMA wind generator for standard or vertical windmill applications. I haven't come across anything better yet, including those modified (Delco) car alternators.

It is a 3 phase and not single phase!

3 phase power is typically 150% more efficient than single phase in the same power range.  In a single phase unit the power falls to zero three times during each cycle.  In 3 phase it never drops to zero. 

The power delivered to the load is the same at any instant.  

Also, with 3 phase, the wires need only be 75% the size of the wires for single phase for the same power output. This will save you a lot with your wiring.

It will brightly light up an automotive tester bulb by turning it very slowly by hand!  And it works in either direction.

It reaches 12 volt at about 100 RPM!

It has an electrical brake! Originally had a mechanical one (that I have removed, but can send it to you, if you like)

The reason that I list its condition as a 'sellers refurbished' is that I dismantle it to remove the mechanical brake clutch system.  Then I paint it with several coats of mate black (anti-rust paint) 

It weighs a whopping 27 lbs! (See photo, taken with a 20 dollar bill, to get an idea of how big it really is.)

Almost twice the size of other modified Delco 10SI ones on ebay! 

The other really great thing about this generator, is that it is totally enclosed.  So no rain or snow can get into it.  With the Delco alternators types, they have huge holes in them and during a freezing rain storm, it can fill up with ice will no longer work. (So during an Ice storm, and this is when you need Emergency Power the most, I know, because I went without Hydro electricity for 6 weeks in a row!). 

It has a center bolt for mounting your windmill hub for your blades.

It contains 2 VERY LARGE bearings front and back of the main shaft. they are over 2" in diameter. 

It has very strong permanant Neodymium magnets.

No bushings to wear out like a lot of those on Ebay.

On the back of the unit, it has four threaded holes for making it very easy to mount it.

I have just two of these.  They are very hard to get.
