1- Vintage / Antique Nippon Kogaku Tokyo Mikron Binoculars / Prism Binoculars 8 X 35 7 degrees Coated & Original leather case
I am not a collector of any kind so please view the photos provided for details.
Really neat item, don't miss out!
This set is marked Nippon Kogaku Tokyo (Nikon) 8 x 35 7 Degrees, serial number 399946 Coated. We originally thought that according to our research these may have been used most likely by the Army or Navy circa 1945 and used during WWII BUT we did have one Ebay member tell us that these were more than likely from 1952 and civilian not military, we are not collectors so please see the pictures . Also may be referred to as Prism Binoculars? The right hand optics have the "+ | -" symbols for individual eye focusing. The condition is fair to good, some spots of wear to the paint / covering and the optics visually need cleaned on the inside, I am sure they can be cleaned, we cleaned the lower lenses to make sure and they came out pretty nice, I just was not sure how to get to the inside of the top lenses and did not want to damage anything, I do not see any major scratches or anything on the glass, appears to be some light dirt on the glass so as anything with this age and use needs cleaned, they are old and used! The mechanics seam to be good, moves no problem as far as I can tell. These definitely need a good cleaning but we do not do that so that we do not damage or devalue an item. The leather strap appears to be original and is in pretty decent shape, not perfect but not bad, no rips or tears. The original leather case needs some repairs to the stitching. The little leather handle strap on the one side is ripped on the bottom but I am pretty sure all the leather can be repaired by a professional who knows what they are doing. The original metal snap is also on the case and is in decent shape. The inside is lined with a purpleish color (camera flash made it look almost red in the pictures) felt lining, again, not perfect, but not horrible either. Please see all photos for details. These are a really neat item. Great for any collection.
I am NOT a collector or specialist of any kind so this is just my opinion. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer to the best of my knowledge.

A little history according to the internet:
Nikon Corporation (Kabushiki-gaisha Nikon) also known as just Nikon, is a Japanese multinational corporation headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, specializing in optics and imaging. Its products include cameras, binoculars, microscopes, measurement instruments, and the steppers used in the photo lithography steps of semiconductor fabrication, of which it is the world's second largest manufacturer. The companies held by Nikon form the Nikon Group. Among its products are Nikkor imaging lenses (for F-Mount cameras, large format photography, photographic enlargers, and other applications), the Nikon F-series of 135 film SLR cameras, the Nikon D-series of digital SLR cameras, the Coolpix series of compact digital cameras, and the Nikonos series of underwater film cameras. Founded in 25 July 1917 as Nippon Kōgaku Kōgyō Kabushikigaisha ("Japan Optical Industries Co., Ltd."), the company was renamed Nikon Corporation, after its cameras, in 1988. Nikon is one of the companies of the Mitsubishi Group.
