Odds'n ends sets from colourmart.com ...
These are some of our best geelong 3/14NM fingering weight yarns, but they are the last bits we have left of some colors... ... So we have taken the last cones and put them in sets of about 1,000g (2.2lb) of yarn, which means about 4,700m (5,100 yards) of yarns. The exact weight is shown in the title and the yardage will increase or decrease from 5,100 in proportion to the weight.. the title also gives the color name (actually a number with M in front in many cases)..
These geelong yarns are spun by Todd & Duncan... Geelong seems to refer to both a type of lambswool, and a spinning technique known for giving lightness and warmth... these mainly marled yarns give wonderful color effects when knitted into a fabric, even if they may look a bit stripy on the cone...
we can't get the pictures on ebay big enough but if you go to http://www.shadetrader.com/ebay/2012_05_29/ and click on the correct set number you will get a much clearer view, especially if you click again to expand the photo.. THINK OF THE GARMENTS YOU CAN MAKE WITH THESE COLOR COMBINATIONS!!
The colors are as you see in the picture - after we pack them we will only be looking at the pictures too so please not too many questions about what's in them.. :-)
This yarn is still lightly oiled for industrial knitting, and we suggest a hot wash with detergent to remove the oil after knitting.
We have standard size cones of similar yarns on our main web site, and many, many, other yarns. And a knitting properties chart, and a user group, and many other things, to find out about all this see our profile here.
We ship worldwide, unless asked otherwise we use Royal Mail first class in UK, Royal Mail Airmail small packet overseas. Usually that takes about 1 week to arrive in US or Asia, but can be a little longer... P&P costs us about $20 per kg outside Europe, hence the postage fee above, but any purchase of sets items above $105 should get you free postage!
