An older Zoom pedal-but does the job. These can be obtained used for a bargain price and do a great job for a person either wishing to "acoustify" an electric guitar or fatten a tinny piezo sound without breaking the bank. Easy to adjust and tweak the factory set sounds to your liking and is like a big box of Crayola crayons giving you several color shades that can help you find a few sound colors you can use for you acoustic guitar. It also has a very authentic sounding 12 string setting for those who like an occasional 12 string sound to accompany singing without having to purchase or lug a 12 string around for just a few songs. Reverbs and choruses can be added to each setting so a large combo amp with those effects is not necessary. The only drawback is the tiny circular screen used to view settings. I would also recommend the on-line manual to tweak settings although I have been successful changing some settings and figuring out the two letter /number displays to set or reset values. Personally, unlike the newer Zooms,I like having the dial in switches -like amp setting knobs on older amps--as averse to wading trough digital layers and menus to set effects. For the amateur or semi-pro guitar player on a budget, this little pedal can give you all the sounds you need to create some pedestrian and interesting acoustic palettes-at a user friendly cost. Just like a box of 64 Crayolas for color variations. Recommended for the acoustic man on a budget.Read full review

I bought this basically so I could load my backing tracks into it and play them back for live performances. One song per preset starting from the bottom up and use the upper presets 99 and down, for learning interesting riffs since it allows you to slow the tempo. I had a little trouble downloading the backing tracks into the machine due to differing Db levels of the recorder compared to the Jamman. What I was able to finally do was use the headphone out put of the (Fostex digital 8 track) recorder into the auxiliary input of the jamman using a stereo cord and the necessary plug adapters. I suppose I could have also run it through my board and attenuated the input, but I wanted a simple signal path. Once I did that it matched up perfectly and I had no trouble putting a number of backing tracks on the Jamman. I'm using a Marshall AS 100D for on stage monitor of the tracks and my voice (with a real time feedback suppressor) with a line out to the board and a Marshall Valvestate VS100 for my electric guitar with, again, a line out to the board for front reinforcement. That way I don't have to rely on problems with the monitors (& sound men) in different venues. So far so good. The Jamman is working fine. I know I could do this with an IPad or other computer, but this system is simple and so far, reliable. I've had friends have their programs crash just before a performance. Not good. I hope I can avoid this with this simple and affordable alternative. So bottom line it works for me and so far so good!Read full review

Just try and find anything as dynamic for as low a price! It really does everything and does it well. I've owned several Zoom products before this and it lives up to and exceeds expectations. It is as dynamic in sound as it is easy to use. What else could you ask for. It makes a small practice amp sound amazing and no matter what guitar you riff on, it will sound great. Perfect for performance or recording or just sitting around the living room chugging away. For the price, you will not find anything else comparable.
With the on-going march of electronics and modeling towards perfection you must realize that this is a bit out-dated. Still, nice to have in the old "arsenal" of sounds. It is still relevant and for the price you can pick these up for it is a no-brainer. To play and record with an acoustic guitar without the anti-feedback and everything else this will do to make your acoustic tracks sparkle would be a tragedy. If you do not have a bunch of money there is still no reason to do without. Pick one of these up for $40.00 and shine!
Excellent control of the guitar sounds. Easy to use live, with proper presets. Just what I wanted.
