plot: THE HUNT FOR OSAMA BIN LADIN Overly hyped movie~ Jessica Chastain is solid as the youthful CIA INTELLIGENCE person "Maya" who recruited out of high school wants to "get ahead" in her job. She has a "go get them" attitude which leads her to Pakistan. She is soon in the "group of " CIA types who use torture, deprivation and just about any means to get info on their quarry Osama. The most solid lead is his most trusted currier. so follow the slow leads is the game. Over 10 years of leads from one end of the world to the other and then back to Pakistan. At times Chastain aka "Maya" is targeted for death for searching for OBL= Osama Bin Ladin. This is a 2 1/2 hour movie. about one hour too long. The story is a very good one but just too long. by the time we got the "final showdown" we are a bit disappointed by it. This is worth watching ONCE. The story is a good one how women were very much a part of the INTEL part of the plan. The end show where Maya is sitting is a plane is a total disappointment so why have it? I do not blame the actors rather the writer. I give it 4 STARS over all. the SETS were incredible. Direction was excellent but the story leaves us a little overly lacking in caring due to the long length of the movie~Read full review
After watching this movie I did some research and found that the director and producer were given access to the CIA analyst who found Bin Laden as well as the Seal team who captured him. This movie is the true story of the hunt for Usama Bin Laden. Jessica Chastain who plays the CIA analyst is absolutely incredible. I can see why she won so many awards for this movie. It's intense, 2.5 hours long, and worth every minute. I have watched this movie multiple times because there's so many pieces and they're mostly in the middle east with middle eastern names and I found I discovered something new every time I've watched it. It's entertaining but unfortunately a true story. Great movie! If you saw Argo and loved it you'll love this. If you haven't seen Argo, that's another one to see. Oscar for best picture.Read full review

Excellent movie. I wanted to say what an outstanding portrayal was done by the lead actress, but I got a message from eBay saying they won't allow a potty mouth so i'll suffice in calling her Jessica C.

A 2 hour 46 minute yawn. Boring, tedious and excessively attentive to minutia details while ignoring the main theme of the movie. The majority of the movie is focused on one female CIA agent and her struggle against the dim witted male chauvinistic CIA management types which seek to minimize her accomplishments and hamper her innate abilities....UH HUGH. The production values are very low budget with almost no special affects, no technical CIA whiz-bang props, no James Bond gadgets or gizmos, just a few cell phones and lots and lots of talk. When they finally get around to the actual raid, even that moves in slow motion. The helicopter crash is filmed in total darkness, from inside the chopper, with the crash simulated by jerking the camera violently...WOW FOOLED ME!!! The raid itself is one long boring anti-climax, pretty much like the rest of this movie. What a let down.Read full review
***MINIMAL SPOILERS*** Director Kathryn Bigelow has done it again by putting out a superior product. The naysayers who thought her previous hit, "The Hurt Locker" was a fluke/had help from her famous ex-husband James Cameron( Titanic, Avatar and others) were incorrect and hopefully this movie will shut the naysayers up once and for all. This movie tells the HOW and WHO was credited wit the eventual tracking down of Public Enemy # 1: Usama Bin Laden( UBL). The compound where UBL was found was rebuilt in a different Middle East country, and the details were totally spot on and believable. Won Academy Award for Best Sound Editing, many other Nominations.
