This is my first Smart Phone. Very Nice Device. Instructions are easy to follow. Works better than my Tablet. Connects well to all WIFI Places. Internet Service is good too. ATT was a great help. They loaded all my contacts for free. The monthly cost is cheaper than my non-smart phone on ATT GoPhone. Making calls takes getting used to do and to terminate the call is a pain. Data usage is good. Since the WIFI connection is easy, there is a great savings on Data usage. Typing Messages is easy. The smart keyboard is a pain because it changes your text words. But if you Google it tells you how to deactivate it. The external Memory (SD) is great I can Store all my Laptop info and Music. The SD is a separate purchase but is not expensive from Ebay. Speaker is very loud too. So far I am still having a bit of trouble receiving Files via Bluetooth. But since USB connect is easy or connecting the SD Memory to My PC. The File transfer is no trouble so far. It is a good idea to buy a Protector case and a screen overlay to save the phone from accidental drops and scratches. This is a cheap cover from Ebay. So far I have this Phone for two months and it works well. In the case it fails a replacement is not a big deal and backing up Contacts to the External Memory is a great help in case of a replacement.Read full review
I bought one of these for my wife to replace her aging smartphone. Since she mainly uses her phone for phone calls ( wow, some people still do use these things to make phone calls!), we were looking for a good, easy to use phone. After a few weeks of use, she was in love with it. Based on her response, I bought a second one for myself to replace my trusty old Motorola Razr. I already had an iPhone 5S from work, so I didn't need anything great as a backup. I have to say, the ZTE Z998 is in many ways as good or better than my iPhone, like the actual phone, as in talking on it, is much, much clearer than the iPhone. Yes, the iPhone has a few features that I think are a little better, like the battery life and Apps availability, but for $500 less, the Z998 is a super bargain.
Great little phone for the price. The screen is a nice size and is a touch screen. I've always used a galaxy but this phone is almost as good. Had a windows phone and didn't like it so I bought this one.
The ZTE998 - 4GB is an excellent phone. Easy to use, it has numerous apps, too many for me, but perfect for the person who appreciates that sort of thing. The keyboard is very sensitive, so be careful. You may inadvertently push the wrong button and hang up on someone!
Honestly this is a really good Smartphone for an unbeatable price. Runs jelly bean, has a dual-core 1.2ghz processor, supports 4G LTE (I'm getting 40mbps down and 10 up on mine) and just feels like a quality device. I'm so happy I went with this! Buy a 16gb microsd and you're all set. You can use on AT&T's regular network, you don't have to use it as a go-phone.
