  Scarce, rare or just call it hard to come by they just aren't out there.   Yankee Doodles are a glimpse of the American depiction of the Spanish - American war as it was being fought in a main stream (for the day) story paper. In several places it depicts Col. Roosevelt and General Shafter as a character in the story line. Dime novels are books with colorful covers with only text inside, though they look like comics they are not. The book has some age stains, small pieces missing along spine. Cover is attached in places but spine is mostly split from age.  Still a rare find for this era. These issues are listing in Ebay for well over $125 and auctioned of at $200 or more. This book is one of a large collection we are placing on our Ebay store of rarely available items and books.  The book is one of the many rarely seen items that we will be offering over the next few months from a collectors estate sale. Once these are gone how long before you will see them come up again. Once a collector buys them they go right back into a vault somewhere.
