I do enjoy the Pro-X T-LS31M 10ft Mobile DJ Lighting Truss System and the fact that it's an all metal design HOWEVER that's not necessarily a good thing. Every connection that joins the 10' span and T-Bar to the tripods are two piece joints connected by several plastic handles butterfly wingnuts with locking bolts (great idea) but if like me you are a mobile DJ that can create a problem as the bolts are barely long enough for the wingnuts to get a good connection. You will have to loosen these when taking the truss apart which creates headache number 2 being if you barely loosen the wingnuts they will come off. My solution was once the sections were assembled I used self tapping screws to hold the hardware in place. One more thing the pins used for adjustment have nothing to hold them in place (no keepers) which only presents a problem during teardown and transportation however an ample supply of bolts, washers and wingnuts are supplied for mounting light fixtures. I will buy another but sometimes all metal connectors is not all good. Just my experience. Tom aka tf8266 (and a mobile DJ)Read full review

The first problem I encountered was that the knob (to tighten the 3 legs) on one of the stands was completely shattered right out the box. Secondly, the "instructions" is just a picture, which I can say is helpful... just takes a little time to figure out. Thirdly, there are a lot of screws, washers, latches, etc. in the package. So, I had trouble figuring out which goes where, but again, it does take a bit of figuring out. But I do think the company can do a better job of making instructions a lot more transparent for their customers. Anyways, as of right now, I've finished building the truss, but I still have extra screws? So I don't know if I've actually completed building it, or perhaps they're extras just in case I lose some. I'm not sure. I mean, aside from those minor problems that I've personally encountered, I think this truss is better than most at this price point. It has a strong metal construction. The poles slide in and out very well. I think 10 feet wide just enough. This is perfect for any mobile DJ. NOTE: This is best build with at least 1 partner. Building the truss does requirement patience and a clear mind to build. It can be frustrating. It took me about 2 hours to build it by myself. I haven't broken it down yet, but... hopefully, I am able to build and tear down effortlessly in the future.Read full review

I set it up tonight after just getting it over the weekend. I'm glad I took the time to put it together in the garage. Lots of pieces and parts to assemble. It is heavy duty. I put all of my lights on it and it didn't even grunt! Only 4 stars because it's hard to get the truss piece in by yourself. I'm not using the bolts and wing nuts that came with it except for my fog machine. Everything else is going up with truss clamps. They hold well on it. Once I got it up, one of the sides started to slide down from what was on it, about 100 pounds. All I had to do was tighten the leg screw and its stayed up fine. Best thing is that I can go all 10' or just one section for a 5' truss. If I don't want to use that, then I can just use the top T bars and since that top piece coming up out of the tripod is 1.5", my clamps can be used to hold my moving heads pointed at the crowd. The bases are big and heavy and if you spread the legs all the way out, they'll hold a pretty good load. I would suggest setting it up with nothing on it and then attaching the lights to it. Stand on a good folding chair or a ladder to get everything on it. The directions aren't very good, just some pictures, but I guess that's all you need because I built it in about an hour taking my time to do it right the first time.Read full review

I bought 2 sets of these. One set was short one plastic handled screw. It wasn't a big issue since I mainly wanted the sets for the tripods and top bar. The trusses are a little difficult to assemble and get set up on the tripod, as they connect together with 2 connector pipes, 4 bolts and wing nuts, 1 support pipe, 4 connection plates, 6 bolts and 6 wing screws. Then they connect to the tripods with 4 connector plates and 6 bolts with wing screws per side. It's time consuming compared to quick connect trussing, but it works. As I mentioned earlier, I mainly wanted the tripods and cross bars and probably won't use the trusses with them. The tripods are heavier than other light tripods I have used, but seem to be well made.

Tripod stands offer a wide, solid and sturdy mount for cross-member. Using to hang a couple lights and a band backdrop banner. Clamps are of light weight and made of stamped metal. Metal should outlast plastic versions, but, we will have to see. Used the stands and Cross Member for a couple of shows and have set it up four or five times. All worked well. First setup took some time to figure everything out but by third setup everything went smooth. All in all, well worth the price of less than $125, including shipping.
