Genuine wood/coal stove used in a railroad caboose. No. 240, Estate Stove Company, Hamilton, Ohio, 1905. These stoves used in cabooses for the Milwaukee Railroad Company. these stoves were bolted to the floor of the caboose. There's various lettering on the stove: "Patented Sept. 5 1905", "Estate No 240", "Smoke Consumer". Other Patented Dates: "July 5 1892", "Jany 23 1894" and "Oct 3 1894". Note: Small cast iron hole/break near smoke stack collar, back of top plate...... Base: 22"x23" Top: 18"x21" Hieght: 36" Weighs 300 lbs. In good condition, some rust....... LOCAL PICKUP ONLY....... |
