I bought this for a friend of mine. I already have the PC version and I love it! I've lost ten pounds doing this and I never have to leave my house! You can do this in the comfort of your own home. I really hate leaving my house to go to the gym. With Yourself!Fitness, I'm home, working out and happy. I just recently found out that the same company redesigned the program for the Wii and call it My Fitness Coach. Maya's really great. First she puts you through a Physical that let's her know where you are and then asks you what your fitness goals are and what equipment you have at home. Then she builds a fitness regimen that suits you. You also have the final say to what you'd like to do for your workout. She just makes the recommendations. I'm telling you it's totally worth it!!
I have tried diets of every fad known! I have come to terms with not losing weight. I hate exercise! I bought into the various different exercise guru's DVD's only to find that they are already in high gear and I am in "MULE". They were hard to catch up to, and I usually lost interest before doing so. Then came Yourself! Fitness. While it does have a few design flaws it is the only thing that I have stuck with. So far I am on my 145th workout!! That is a big accomplishment for me. Even though I am not noticing any weight loss, I am still seeing reduction in the way my clothes fit. For me, that is incentive! The program lets you completely control how fast you advance. It allows you to work with or without advanced items (ie: ball, weights, heart monitor, etc.)It is totaly customizable to your schedule and needs while still offering recommendations according to "studies". If you are one to have good intentions but peter out before noticing any results, try this program! I recommend starting out with a heart monitor. You can really get the most from your workout if you stay within the heart rate suggested for your body weight. Hope this helps and don't give up on finding an exercise program you can stick with, the improvements to your quality of living are great! I feel my accomplishments daily in one way or another. I had to do something as I am beginning the middle age breakdown. Knees are going, arthritis creeping in, etc. This program, in combination with vitamins and essential oils has given me some relief.Read full review
I got Yourself!Fitness about a week ago and have used the "game" for 5 days. As an athletic person I have found it to be a pleasant part of my routine. I live in a mountainous, rural area and am not able to get to a gym or run outside when the weather is bad, so it's great to have this program in the comfort of my own home! I use a step (but you don't have to have ANY equipment) and find myself working up a sweat the first 10 minutes. It's the perfect tool for whatever fitness level to make exercise a fun, easy part of your schedule!
This "game" is no game at all. This "game" will test your exercise level and put you on a routine that you feel obligated to keep. It has lots of meal plans in it too or if you just want to do some Yoga you can do that. Nice way to motivate you to take 15 minutes a day to do some sort of workout. Game is "PERFECT" for the gamer couch potato. If you are looking for something to help you get some sort of workout in then give this "game" a try.
This is a great exercise program that tailors to your needs and adjusts on the fly. You just have to mimic the on-screen girl in the movements. If she goes faster, you go faster. If she slows down, you slow down. It incorporates many different exercise regimens for every day of the week. It plans your exercise schedule and can plan your dietary schedule as well. However, you can adjust its settings so nothing is fixed. It can take advantage of what equipment you have and what you don't have (e.g., weights, exercise ball, etc). It's not at all like watching an exercise DVD that is static in its routine and where you're expected to exercise at your own rate and not at the rate of the fitness instructor (who is often super fit and moving much faster than most people). With an exercise DVD, it's really hard to measure your pace because there's no measure of judgement like with this Xbox game. this program is highly recommended. the only thing i wish i could do was take my xbox to the gym so i could incorporate some of the gym equipment into the workout.Read full review
