You are viewing a used vintage Wollensak Raptar Series II 162mm f/4.5 lens. Appearing in the Wollensak 1949 catalog, the Raptar Series II offered a new set of features for the post WWII photographer. Enhanced speed and optical coatings to name just a couple. The optical design is Tessar.
That being said, this lens is of a vintage of 1949 or earlier and it’s condition is not stellar and is likely to not offer optimal sharpness. The front element has a centrally located scrub mark and a couple of other marks in the coating. The glass appears to have many very small inclusions. These are so small as to appear to be dark specks embedded in the glass. Used as a portrait lens or in applications not requiring extreme resolution, this lens will make a good, reasonably sharp image with good contrast. The shutter has no sync. This lens ships with the original mounting collar.
This lens is sold AS-IS. NO RETURNS & NO REFUNDS.
