I already own this book and wanted another one for a gift, therefore I knew what style of binding I wanted. Notebook style is important to me as it stays open and is easier to manage and read while cooking without the problem of binder breaking down after heavy use. Also can be opened and page removed while cooking. This particular cookbook has great photos, both Flex point and Core recipes and uses items found easily in most grocery stores. Since Core is new (since about 2004), I am always looking for more current recipes that offer both flex and core. I found this cookbook in March 2008 new at Lowes for $26.99 so I appreciated the chance to bid and win for a better price. Ultimately a quality cookbook with top of the line recipes. Pages are catagorized with recipe titles on each divider, new pages can be added into the book.Read full review
For anyone who is trying to cook healthier meals, lose weight, or even try different foods, this is an excellent cookbook to have. I bought this cookbook in an attempt to both eat healthier and lose weight. I love how the sections are indexed and several recipes include pictures throughout the book. Also, the serving sizes, points and other nutritional information are included for each recipe. One downfall of the recipes is the fact that many of the ingredients are going to be on the pricey side. Also, many of the recipes require a long preparation time. If you are willing to stick to the points system and go by the ingredients listed, the recipes in this cookbook will offer you variety and a good chance at healthy eating and weight loss.
This cookbook is an excellent source of Weight Watcher information. To my pleasant surprise, it has more than just recipes inside. Nestled periodically thought out are little nuggets of cooking tips and info which not only provide some interesting, yet basic, cooking knowledge but numerous other tips to help make each recipe preparation a success. If you love to cook (or would like to learn), this book will certainly enrich your pallet and culinary skills. True to the Weight Watcher cookbook fashion, this new cookbook (2006 edition) is definately worth adding to your personal library. The recipes are delicious enough for the entire family to enjoy and made easy enough for anyone to prepare. From cover to cover, this cookbook is definately worth it's weight in gold.
I purchased this cookbook for my daughter. She loves to cook and she is on the Weight Watchers plan. She loves the cookbook. She has made a lot of the recipes included in the book and they have all been good. She likes that she can go through the book, pick out dinners for the week, make her grocery list and head to the store. She has lots of other cookbooks but she likes this one the best.
I bought this cookbook to help me succeed at my weight loss - but more than that - this is a life change for me. I really like the tips that are included with each recipe. It's easy to understand and most of the ingredients are items I currently buy anyway. This is a great product, well thought of book loaded with tips and recipes to help me attain my goals. This cookbook was a great value for me.
