Our Ten Requests
Serious bidders only – No bidding & then bailing
If you understand the summarized requests
above, Best of Luck Buying/Bidding!
(This portion is not to insult a person’s intelligence, but a tongue in cheek look at our policies when dealing with sales on EBay. It is not personal, it is comical.)
Serious Bids: What’s a serious bid? Any amount you are willing to pay for an item & understand, when you click ‘place bid’ and become the current high bidder. You are committing to buying the item, if you didn’t want it that bad. You better hope someone out bids you. That said, if you win, you essentially agreed to pay the amount of the winning bid (plus shipping & handling) on the item. Pretty simple.
Buy It Now: When you buy it now, you are doing the math…
Payment Time: If you do not have the money to pay for the item when the auctions ends or want to wait for another auction to end. In hopes to try and pair items up to save on shipping (but not handling, as we do not combined handling), please just drop us a line, via the ‘contact seller’ link, to let us know you would like a little extra time.
Combined shipping: Many variables come into play with shipping and as buyers; we know you are aware of all the options a seller has to ship an item. We try and ship them as economic as possible & as fast as we can (2-3 day shipping, gets you an item sooner than 4-9 days…common sense, we think so). No matter how it’s sliced!
That said, box size, weight, shape and material (box or envelope) all play into the cost to ship items. Knowing we try and combined the items to save the buyer a little on shipping. The USPS, UPS and FedEx set standards we must comply too. So as sellers, we ask that as buyers, you respect our choices in shipping and not tell us how to ship the item. We try and chose what works best for the said situation.
Handling: Ahhhh, the joy filed topic of handling. In 99.9% of our transactions, we have had no problem with this topic. As buyers ourselves we understand, it costs ALL companies money to deliver a product (it is built into the cost). When a person goes to the store, the cereal is not located in large open bins or just poured on the shelves, it comes in boxes & inside the box…it is in a bag. That is called packaging & for some individuals it is ‘free’, you are buying ‘just’ the cereal. False, most products you buy, the buyer is paying for the marketing, packaging, designing and even for the wage of the person who packaged it. So it is not free. Nor are all the items we use to prepare our auctions.
The cycle of each item is something we take pride in, with hopes to allow the buyers to see the product better, allowing the buyer/bidder to make the best decision possible before pulling the trigger. From the photography of each piece, the cardboard, bubble wrap, packing tape, paper for shipping labels, printer ink, packing peanuts, gas to and from the post office, and many other variables that go into posting items for those who choose to buy/bid.
Questions: These are sentences that end with a symbol that looks like this ‘?’. We just ask, if you a question, you ask it & we will do our best to get back as soon as we notice a question has been asked. Generally 24-48 hours.
48 States: We try and keep a flat rate on our shipping & handling on items. In our experiences with numerous inquiries about international shipping, in the end many of them do not pan out for us & in the end is a poor use of our time. When we could be answering questions to those of you who need service.
PayPal Payment Only: Getting a PayPal account is fairly straightforward. It protects both the seller & buyer…a win-win. No complaints there.
Multi-Item Buyers: If you win more then one item, please send us an ‘invoice request’ and we will do our best to get an invoice back to you as soon as we can. Generally it can take 24-72 hours (depending on the availability of the post office, UPS or FedEx…if they are needed for unique items).
Line: When you buy an item or get combined shipping…the invoice
you receive is our bottom line. Which in turn means that is our final price. We
are not trying to be tough, just realistic. If you buy three items for seven
dollars a piece & shipping & handling was nine dollars. Your total
would be thirty dollars; essentially you got each item for ten dollars a piece.
Now if you are not a fan of word problems, maybe this visual/formula may help;
3 (items) x $7 = $21 + $9 (for S&H) = $30 / 3(items) = $10(each item) Bottom Line
If you read all of our policy agreement, well done! We greatly appreciate it. Again, not making fun of anyone, just poking fun at some of the hilarity of misunderstandings that we have encountered as low volume private sellers. We are not trying to pull a fast one or hide anything. We are hopefully making it clear to anyone who may have a question about how we handle certain situations or common occurrences with-in the transactions of ebay. We have a high rating of success, thanks to many of you whom understand ebay & do not drop negative feedback, just to make a point. If you ask us, we will do our best to be fair and we ask that you do the same. Thank You!
