This auction is for a vintage WW2 era
Folding Pocket Knife
Taylor Eye Witness
This style of knife was originally manufactured and supplied to the British Army in the theatre of WW2 and was commonly called a "clasp knife" or "jack knife".
It has one knife blade, a marlin spike, can/tin opener and a screwdriver on the edge. Comes with grooved black grips.
Can opener is marked with the maker’s details & eye logo:
The marlin spike is stamped with the British army mark of the "Broad Arrow" which was applied to primarily military items in order to indicate something is the property of the king.
The knife measures
It appears to be in semi-good used condition showing surface wear to the blades with visible scratches, oxidation and rust stains but still sharp and functional. The knife's blade appears to be in poor condition: It has a broken edge and it's showing surface wear with rust marks. The knife blade does not open tightly. The can opener & marlin spike open and close tightly. The black handles are in poor condition showing age wear (shrinking). It is missind it's "D" ring.
The item will needs a good cleaning.
It would be a wonderful addition to any collection of vintage old army pocket knifes.
