WONDERFUL ANTIQUE ENGLISH 9K GOLD IRIDESCENT SCARAB SHELL EARRINGS c1880 N/RES  

A terrific pair of antique English, solid 9 carat gold (tests thereabouts) mounted earrings; set with two wonderfully iridescent natural scarab beetle shells.

A very attractive pair of Victorian earrings - collectable and very wearable too!

CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Tops/wires old replacements. Slightest signs of wear commensurate with age and use, minimal denting to mounts. Posts probably later.

DEFECTS: None.

DATE/MARKS: Around 1870/80. Not marked.

DIMENSIONS: Faces 21 x 16 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 2.1 grams together.
