Proud to present this wonderful piece of American design history today...a gorgeous 1940 Lawson "Zephyr" Clock. It epitomizes Streamline Moderne Design and California Modern Design and it is featured in literally every book about these subjects you can find...it's a Streamline staple and one of the masterworks of the legendary KEM Weber.

This one is in outstanding condition -- as you can see the bronze polishes up perfectly (and eventually tarnishes evenly back to darker brown). It keeps perfect time and it's in fine working condition. As with most Lawson clocks, there is a quiet hum when in use. The cable is in excellent condition as is the plug. The clock is all-original and the winning bidder will be very happy!

Shipping will be $20 (fully insured via Fedex) anywhere in the lower 48 states. $30 to Canada. $50 International via USPS Express.

Don't hesitate to ask if you need any more photos or have questions...you will receive a prompt and thorough response!

HAPPY BIDDING!

On Apr-22-12 at 11:41:15 PDT, seller added the following information:

Here is some very important info about this clock from an astute eBayer and expert on Lawsons:

"This particular clock was made at Lawson's Pasadena factory and dates to 1940-42. It has a 'bronze' finished brass case with brass trim. The Zephyr was also available in a brushed gold finish with chrome trim and chrome with brass trim. The clock should have never been polished and there were no cream painted colored accents to it, this is the brass model. I have one and mine dates from 1935, five years earlier that yours. However, it is attributed to KEM Weber, there is no documentation, including the catalog posted that ties it directly to KEM Weber. I sure if you read the footnote it will explain this. There are only two drawings that exist that can be tied to KEM Weber and Lawson Time Inc. and both of the clocks in these drawings were never produced. Lawson's Creations catalog for 1938 which features the Zephyr states on the back Designs by Ferher and Adomatis not Karl Emanuel Martin Weber which is currently calling the attribution to KEM Weber into question."
