This manual focusing lens is one of my favorites. It is very small and light, fast enough to be used in low light conditions. My lens is of the old, discontinued Leica screw mount version (L39), the so-called Classic. It was replaced by a pancake M mount version a couple of years ago. The Classic 35mm Voigtlander Color-Skopar is made by Cosina. Mine is a silver lens with a built-in hood and an easy-focusing handle. A black version is also available. The lens weighs 134 g and it measures 55mm in diameter and 23 mm long. Its minimal focusing distance is 0.7m. it takes 39mm filters. The glass is multi-coated and of excellent quality. I have seen them new for as little as $380, but you can find them in the used market for about $100-120 less. This little lens takes sharp and contrasty images with excellent color rendition. Its performance is much better than that of comparably priced third party L39 rangefinder wide-angle lenses. My lens is usually attached to either a Canon VI rangefinder or an Olympus E-P1 via a cheap L39/M43 adapter. Its primary use is street photography. With the film camera, the 35mm focal length is perfect to capture street life. With the E-P1, the smaller sensor makes this the equivalent of a 70mm lens, less useful for street photography but terrific as a small portrait lens. This is one of the 3 lenses that I always carry with the E-P1.Read full review
Once again, I received yet another product from a Japanese seller on Ebay who, for the very most part, creditable and responsive. I choose the LTM version against the M-mount because of size. Yes, they are both small but LTM with that knob for focusing, just appeal to me better. This lens is amazing, for a quarter of throw, you get the entire focusing range. Initial test shows a nice contrast and color rendition. I am getting the LH-2 which should make the lens better flare resistant and also easier for me to hold and of course, that classic look! I am using it on my M240, it is very tiny and small but that is what I want! I would recommend to anyone who is looking at small lens with good performance and value. I also use it on Epson R-D1 and again, it shines!

I actually have the "p" version but the optics are the same. This lens is sharp - very sharp - great contrast and still enough control over depth of field at f2.5 without compromising the physical compactness of the lens. Close focus is not great - I recommend a helicoid adapter if one is available for your camera. i'm using it on a sony nex 5n. Bokeh is good wide open with the blades becoming visible when you stop down. Very good value for the price, build quality is great
Good lens, but abit soft. aperture abit slow a 2.5, but gives good bokeh. A bit expensive now as it is out of production now. Mine is the black version which looks better IMO. Solid build. I bought this lens for my GF1 as I prefer MF. I find my 1956 Jupiter 8 performing better fully open than this lens, given both are LTM lenses, mainly due to the faster aperture stop on the Jupiter 8. This lens is not for indoors. But at higher f-stop, it is exceptionally sharp. Beats the jupiter 8 in this area.
Small, light, easy to use for a manual focus lens. With the right adapter, you can attach this lens to any new digital SLR out there. Mine is Sony Nex and this is a killer combo.
