This is an authentic 50's dress that belonged to my sister. It may have been shortened professionally.. There is a 2 1/8 inch hem. The dress is by Carlyle. It is a checked yellow and white print with short sleeves. There is a smocked detail on the bodice. The skirt is pleated and very full. There is a side zipper and a belt with a flat bow on it.. The dress is in very nice condition with no spots, stains or rips. The belt shows a bit more wear. Still quite usuable but you may want to change it. The dress is xsmall. Lying flat it measures 12 inches across the waist and 17 inches from underarm to underarm. From top shoulder seam to hem it is 39 inches. From waistline to bottom of hem it measures 24 inches. I am not sure of the fabric but it is lightweight and very summery. |
