This is a fabulous vintage 1950's kitchen dinette retro table. The Formica table top has an unusual speckled grey pattern to it. The edging is chrome. The legs are double tubular chrome. The rectangular curved table top measures approx 4 feet long and 3 feet wide. The extra leaf adds another 12" to the length of the table to make the table 5 feet long. The table measures 30" high. The legs and leaf come off with ease for easy transportation. No nicks or chips in the formica and no rust on the chrome. The bottom of the feet on the legs looks to be made out of brass. Very eyecatching with a strong retro feel. Great for contemporary decors. Normal wear for it's age. There is a bit of staying in one spot on the table (maybe from coffee) but it's very hard to see. Also, the leaf wasn't used much so its color is a little off from the rest of the table (you can see it in the pictures). IT'S VERY HEAVY AND STURDY AND VERY WELL MADE!!!!!!!

PLEASE READ...This is our story. I started selling on eBay right in the beginning of October 2009 because we needed to raise a little extra money for my family (I am physically unable to work). So basically, I'm a stay at home mom, and we needed that "little extra bit". However, all that changed on 10/22/09 because my husband's brother (Adam-38) was killed in a plane crash while training to become a missionary pilot. He and his family (shown above) were to leave in December/09 or January/2010 for Zambia, Africa... he was 4 flight lessons away from that goal. Adam was to fly food and supplies into the deepest part of the "bush" in Zambia, to the poorest of the poor. Adam's family resided in WI but they were in TN at the time of the crash so that Adam could learn how to fly in mountainous areas with no landing strips and in very rough terrain as it would replicate flying in Africa. Because they were set to leave in only 2 months from the time of the plane crash, they had given away or sold everything that they had (including their house). Carrie (Adam's widow) came back to no home and no money. At the time of the tragedy I had only been selling on eBay for about 2 weeks. Once Adam was killed, I immediately started to sell with the intent of giving most of our profits to her family (which we did). I am sharing this with you because it was such an honor to have known Adam and I wish for you to know him just a little bit. A couple things I can tell you about Adam are that he had the biggest heart, the greatest laugh and a wicked sense of humor. He really was an honor to know (he was very much like my husband). Now that it's been just over a year since Adam's death, and Carrie's back on her feet a bit; I have decided to give away much of my EBay profits to charity (to Zambia as that was where Adam and Carrie were planning on giving there time and money too) as my tribute to the beautiful and kind man that Adam was. Also, Adam's instructor (Ron Royce) was also killed in the crash and we have decided that we are going to try to donate some of our profits to his wife, as well as giving to charity. She also has been greatly impacted financially because of this tragedy. Ron was a missionary pilot trainer for the last 41 years and now that income is gone. We are so grief stricken it feels like this is our small way to honor ADAM. We have always been giving people, but since this tragedy, it really has made us believe that we have so much and we can do with less and give more. Thank you for reading!
